Subject: Adventure Team Action Pack-Turbo Copter Tue Nov 07, 2023 12:59 am
One of the action packs for the Adventure Team, 1971-1972, The Turbo Copter. I was lucky enough to get two. Digging these out I found that the elastic straps are worn and stretched. The second one I picked up has had the straps replaced. It was the only one I could get to halfway stay on Joe.
It sags because of the stretched straps. The top of the pack is supposed to be at his shoulders.
The original straps had the buckle for the side straps to hook to, the replaced one has the upper straps with hoops that the belt slides through.
I was able, at one point, to get the Action Man version.
I had planned to put the packs on a couple of Joes, but with the two not wanting to stay hooked, I was lucky to get one to stay on long enough for a photo. This is how it's supposed to fit. https://www.vintage3djoes.com/turbo-copter.html

Thanks for showing the two different versions of the Adventure Team Turbo Copters. Very lucky to get one to stay on long enough for a photo. I bet lots of kids had lots of fun turbo around their garden with their Joe using his Turbo Copter. Which is your favourite colour out of the two? It’s a real pity that Turbo Copter sags because of the stretched straps from age . All very well photographed as usual.

They are fun , was one of my favourites when I was a boy , the artwork on the card was cool too . There are two issues of the A.M Turbo Copter , the 1st issue which you have Daryl , had the elastic straps , the 2nd issue had plastic / rubber type straps , more durable , though lack the large gold buckle . The colours of the Joe version are very eye catching .
