1. Oh my! What mischief are the Peeping Thomasinas up to? Nice b...inoculars! Brass trim and ever'thin'!
2. "Wow!" is what I thought, myself! The teeny S44/45 outfit stretched over an S34/35 body makes an impressive visual impact!
3. OK... that was unexpected... and totally obvious now that you mention it! 'Kay, I'm crackin' up here... while simultaneously wondering if I should work that in to my storyline or change the sign on the door.
4.Those spyglasses are super spyglasses! X-Ray specs, in fact! They can peer thru walls! Bamboo walls, admittedly, but still!
Oh... wait. I guess there are windows. Not very clean windows, but windows.
5. Wellll... the skipper has had to downsize his operations recently, from a deep-sea fishing boat to a flat-bottom bass boat. Along with the boat, his hat got downsized as well.
6. Uh oh! Hoshi looks... thoughtful. Like, something is brewing in her cute little... head. Something naughty, probably; like, if VD isn't a significant concern... uhmm...
7. In all honesty, the nudist colony sign influenced the design of the surf shop signs. Particularly the "Sail - Bait" sign.
Bamboo beach mats - available in many general goods shops, grocery markets, and convenience stores once spring weather starts to roll around - glued to cardboard or foamcore board. That's it. The beach mats can sometimes be found in "lots" on eBay or Amazon -- lifetime supply! Window trim can be sticks picked up off the ground or sticks taken from a broken bamboo or wicker window blind or garden fence. Check the neighbors' bins on trash pickup day (because, literally, that's what I did), especially in spring when the gardeners start taking down their old garden fences.
8. Is this a potential portent of things to come? Could "Sarge"... since Sgt First Class is the army equivalent of Chief Petty Officer, or CPO... turn out to be... Don Rickles aka CPO Sharkey?

I know all about the grass beach and foam-core Dave. You've seen it in many of my photos. The thing is, you've done a much better-looking job than I have.

With me having also a figure with a Connery headsculpt, its going to be very interesting (and confusing) once he makes an appearance

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Clever move to distract Suki and Hoshi by subtly redirecting the conversation so it is about them. That’s a foolproof tactic for dealing with those two.

Very clever. Leaves open the possibility that the skipper is just as eager to conceal the fact he has a doppelganger out there....

I have something planned. Or Suki and Hoshi do, at any rate.
