I've been giving this episode some thought. It appears that Rivers abandoned some of his team. "Oops, they're gone, oh well, let's go home." Then it occurred to me: why doesn't he ask Sakkara if she knows where they went? She's somewhat magical in her powers, and seems to be aware of other details about what's happening that Jake and his crew have not been aware of. Maybe she knows what happened to the missing team members.
But... Rivers might be too blinded by his rage + attraction when it comes to Sakkara to think straight. Plus, being a demoness, she can probably cloud even Rivers' mind to an extent. So it may not have occurred to him to ask her directly if she knows where they are.
It almost seems like Sakkara might know where they are, or she has a pretty good idea. She's hinting that she knows some things, but she's gonna make Rivers figure it out on his own.
And at this point, Rivers isn't exactly doing a great job of figuring things out. But maybe Sakkara has something to do with that.

Things certainly haven't gone well. on the upside, Jake's team did find a couple of lost members. However the loss of Conan, and indeed Champion is a great blow, and one that Rivers will intend to put right. However, he came back to base to get advice and help. As you have noticed, Jake's frustration at Sakkara is clouding his vision. or as you noted, maybe she is indeed the cause. We all know Sakkara though, she is extremely secretive, and plays things close to her chest. Stayed tuned to see the what happens next .
