| name ?
Len
online name ?
Bond007ca
Location ?
Edmonton Alberta Canada
First vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6 figure ?
12inch Blonde Muscle Body ( thought he was Chuck Norris )
Favourite figure now ?
Anything Sea Adventurer ( I recently found one at a big Antique show for a great price... bought some new clothes and he is SWEET!!!
Most desired item ?
Danger of the Depths Set ( this is another one of my Grail Pieces )
What will you do with your collection as you get older ?
Not sure yet, I am really getting back into it again and don't want to let it go . I have started to share it with my son and its a lot of fun.... My collection has brought me a lot of joy and I intend to ensure that Joe lives on with him too.
Do you set yourself a budget ?
Yes, but rarely if ever adhere to it.
Worst vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6 figure ?
I have been able to see a lot of figures up close hands on and also online via forums / clubs etc... I am not a big fan of anything space related. It was hard for me to imagine playtime around that since I could not put my hands on it, I could take my fuzzheads to the back yard and touch the grass or trees ropes etc. Being able to get hands on totally made the memory for me
Views on 40th reproductions ?
I have a few 40th AM and thats what got me into collecting again, I dont feel that the body is what the vintage one was. It feels lighter and not as tough. I do like them but not what they did to the value of mine or anyone elses collection. I did not get into collecting the gents for money but I also dont like seeing what figures are selling for now when I paid three times that price a few years agao... Its a big kick in the pants...
worst item of the vam/ gi joe/mam or 1/6 range ?
Cheaply made figures.... I have been burned a few times when I ordered from a reputable dealer and when I got the figure and started to assemble it things fell off...broke etc. I also didnt really like some of the accessories that came with the more recent Joes / MAM.. they took away from imagining. I loved the days when you got a figure and all he came with was a helmet / gun / backpack and the rest was left to you.
best thingabout collecting vam /gi joe/mam or 1/6 figures ?
I love finding a piece and adding him to my collection..... When I get a new piece I always take him to where I keep my others and I get to enjoy them ALL again... That is like christmas all over again... Even if it was just a few days or less since I re arranged them. I also love the camaraderie that collecting brings.
do you think your collection will be collectible in the future ?
I would like to think so, with me sharing it with my son now I know he will take them into another generation because it was something that we shared and did together. He is very young right now so as he grows I will include him more and take him to shows so he can experience the same things I have been lucky enough to do.
If you didn't collect vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6, what would you collect ?
I have been riding dirt bikes ( moto X ) for the better part of my life so this would be my other collection. If I did not collect Joes I would collect more accessories.
Why do you like ammo ?
The guys here are 100%.... I have been able to meet some great people and each day I love to look at the posts and comments they always either make me laugh or smile. Its very cool to be a part of something that no matter who or what or where a post came from we are all accepted for what we are and we can laugh with and at each other.... Its a group of friends who share something that was a piece of our past is now our present and will be our future.... | |

| Hey, Len! Good interview. We should meet for coffee here in Edmonton and plan some photo shoots. I really think a video of a GI Joe parachuting off the High Level Bridge would blow these guys away. | |

| Cheers to all the comments and feedback. Its very warming to get the comments back from my comrades ...
Joe 90.... I would love that ... High Level Bridge would be Amazing.... and you are correct... it would definitely be a head turner and we could maybe start a new trend lol
Oh, I was stopped at a light the other day and picked up my joe from the console and waved to the lady beside me ... she looked at me rolled her eyes and started laughing ... I saw her snort she laughed so hard LMFAO... My wife was almost in tears ...
