| Just got home after the second day of the Suffolk Aviation Musem event. I had a display of my chaps as per usual at these events. Every year the same chap comes along and talks about the stuff he has at home that he had as a kid. He kept this and also added to it hoping his nephew would be interested. However the silly boy isn't. So he has been offering it to me. Last year he took one of my cards, but I never heard from him. He called in today so I asked if he had sorted out what he had. He said that he had some vehicles he could let me have straight away. There is also more vehicles and figures inc some GIJoes and uniforms. So he popped off home and came back with this The cost? Nuffink, zilch, zero. Said he rather it go to someone who would appreciate it than throw it away. Aren't I a lucky boy. _________________ The collector formally known as Blue Pants Man | |

| To be honest Dan, I've been getting a bit down recently and VAM hasn't been forefront. I struggled to muster the enthusiasm to set up something this year. However the guys at the Museum had advertised a 'Themed Action Man area' so I made the effort. Didn't do too much just got a load of my vehicles out and a few chaps. However the reaction from the general public really put the lead back in my pencil so to speak. I had a 5 year old (grandson of a committee member) help me. His eyes were like saucers and was eager to help. I got him choosing the guys out of the box and we decided what kit they'd have and where they go. When I explained how old they were and they are a bit worn out from being played with, he asked "why would they be played with?" He didn't see them as toys, so I explained how I played with toys like this when I was young. During the two days numerous people commented on and talked about my display. A number of them taking photos and not just a wide shot but down low and close up so more than just snaps. There was a couple down here on holiday from Coalville. Yes he did have Action Man but was keen to learn more about Palitoy. He remarked about travelling all that way and seeing such a great collection of the toy that was made in his hometown. All this has boosted me so I'm looking forward to starting work on the themes for next year, WWI and D-Day as they have significant anniversaries then. _________________ The collector formally known as Blue Pants Man | |

It looks like a variation on the personnel carrier with detachable minesweeper, howitzer and machine gun. The differences are the Action Man one had tracks where this has ordinary wheels and the Action Man one had only one open turret in the front where this has both open. _________________ The collector formally known as Blue Pants Man | |

| There's a Dragon 1/6 kit available of a Klublewagon, it's a bit expensive though.
