| Had a walk into town at lunch to get a couple of things. Checked out the charity shops while I was there and found this guy hiding under a load of stuff in a plastic box marked '25p'! He certainly seems to have been through the wars and roughly treated. Paint (or make up?) on his face, loose hips so he only just stands up, loose hands and a loose right bicep (something I've never seen before). He's still in one piece though, which goes to show how tough MAM really are! I'll post more pictures of him once he's been cleaned up at home tonight. _________________ | |

| 25p for an Action Man, NOW that's what I call a bargain Peter. Very well done on rescuing him, once he's been cleaned up, fixed loose Joints and clothed then he will look just as good as new . Great rescue find Peter. _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.

I'd agree with that. This body type is my favourite MAM. I think I might have a dozen of them now! _________________

| Here's an update. I cleaned his face with nail varnish remover, wrapped some thread around his bicep to tighten it up, rubber bands around the top of his legs so he can stand up now. Dressed him in the first uniform I found in my box of clothes and added a few other bits and pieces. He's still got a black eye, but I'm going to leave him like that to remind me of his violent past. The paint around his eye isn't actually in his eye itself, leading me to wonder if the figure came with a black eye originally. _________________ | |

| I think the black eye looks very effective and I must admit I was hoping you would leave it alone. :-) The outfit you have one him seems to be mostly based from the Action Man Rapid Fire figure and if you want to tidy it up a bit you could try rolling some turn-ups on his sleeves like the original pictured below. I am assuming the previous owner undid the original turn ups. Then again maybe you like the sleeves just as they are? |

| Thanks for the comments guys. I think I'll definitely leave his eye as it is.
Thanks for the picture Winch. I think I might have a few more pieces of that outfit in the bits box! Never seen it complete in the box before! _________________

| Got another MAM yesterday, this time for a quid. Better condition than the 25p figure! No clothes again (where do all the MAM clothes go to?) but I'm sure I can find or make something for him. He's in quite good condition with a perfect AM logo on his arm and what I call a level two articulation (level one has waist movement and neck up and down as well as left and right and usually comes with blue pants). Might swap his hands for some flesh coloured ones (got a pair from a broken 'Samurai Mission' in my spares box) but it all depends on what I decide to dress him in. The gloves look like dirt bike rider or something. Hmmm. _________________ | |

| another cracking find Pete, well done my friend. Those gloved hands look familiar, maybe my son has one the same. I am sure someone on here will be able to know what uniform he should have | |

| Just did a search - it looks like the figure is from the Deep Sea Attack with the shark and cage. Can't really tell as he's wearing a yellow helmet in every picture I've found. I think I might have the big mechanical pincer thing that's in the set though, unless it was sold at the last car boot...! OMG! I can't believe I actually managed to embed that picture! I wasn't sure if it would work, but you learn something new every day! _________________ | |

| Nice find mate the gloves can be incovinient at times but, they look alright with some outfits and there's far worse sins in the MAM world, he looks in good condition I'm sure you'll find a great uniform for him. My friend alerted me to a stash of MAM in a charity shop a few villains which I think I had and AM's with limited articulation or moulded clothes and one decent AM plus some bags with uniforms, accessories etc. in them each for £2 was rather tempted but, I knew that i'd spent and wasw going to spend a fair bit that month and that I would be tempted to buy the figure and several bags | |

| Ouch!... That's a classic saturday night shiner The 25p MAM is a bargain, the uniform looks good. Nice job on the 'Recon Rider' I've got some of them tops. I removed the rubber chest badge on one of them by carefully unpicking the stitching, I've put it somewhere safe in case it needs to go back on for future MAM collectors. _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |
