| ok, after lovin' the SteamPunk series from Mr Coalville... and not really progressing with my German Tank idea... I have decided to have a go at SteamPunkin' my MTV... it's also the classic plastic shell so probably much easier to work with bonding and gluing... I spent this morning phaffin' around with the tracks and have got to this stage.. which is the basic idea and has got me motionivated.. .!! I'll keep you all updated as I go... If anyone has any tips on how to reattach the axle tip heads or do I just glue the old ones back? as they are not having a simple push back and clap yourself approach.. and yes it does roll on the tracks!! and I'm sure Mr Coalville will see all those rivets etc. on the shell and get himself all steamed up!! cheers for the inspiration fella!!! | That looks the business slack !! Top job mate ! I have never had any problems pushing the hubs back on the axles tho , yes sometimes they are a bit stiff to put back, but nothing that has ever stopped them going back on. Have you tried positioning the hub on the axle and then using the floor as leverage and extra pressure to pop them back?? I am sure you have already. Top job mate, are you going to put together a steam punk crew as well ??? | |

I'm sure someone asked this on a different forum and if I remember correctly one of the suggestions was to tap them with a rubber mallet (the sort you use for camping). This shouldn't do any damage to the metal the way a normal metal hammer would but works a bit easier than pushing with your fingers. _________________ | |
