| Name ? Ross
Online name ? Rossini
Location ? Basingstoke in Hampshire (had to add Hampshire to make it sound a bit posh!)
First Vam/Joe/Mam or 1/6 figure ? My first AM was a brown PH given to me by a friend of my parents when I was around 3 yrs old.
What was your favourite figure as a kid, and do you still own him? My favourite figure was my BPEE talking commander and yes I still have him along with other childhood AM too.
Favourite figure now ? If I had to choose my favourite now then I'd have to have a toss up between my brown fuzzy and my blonde bearded fuzzy grippers.
Most desired item ? I've never given much thought to what I'd really like to have but a 'capture copter' like I had for my 5th birthday (the one I wrecked on that very day lol)
What will you do with your collection as you get older ? Keep getting bits to enjoy playing around with really, I'm no hardcore collector! I just like to have fun with stuff.
What does your wife/girlfriend/partner think of your collection/hobby? My wife pretty much just humours me really, she just let's it go over her head, she does show a little interest at times as she knows I really enjoy it.
Do you set yourself a budget ? Um! No!
Worst Vam/Joe/Mam or 1/6 figure ? I really don't like the intruder or bullet man and the space range if I'm honest! Sports and cerimonials dont do anything for me either. And do not like MAM with moulded clothes!!
Views on 40th reproductions ? Great stuff if you ask me! (which you have lol!) i like the figures but I'd imagine to some at best they act as good mannequinns for vintage uniforms.. The uniforms however are great and can act as ideal display pieces or parted out to complete vintage uni's til vintage parts come along.
Worst item of the Vam/Joe/Mam or 1/6 range ? Massively oversized mam weapons.
Best thing about collecting Vam/Joe/Mam or 1/6 figures ? The toys, I'm in it for the toys! I like toys.. Lol Also meeting like minded people, whether it's just online or face to face.
Do you think your collection will be collectible in the future ? I dont know really! My vam? Probably not! My collection is far from being puristic (is that even a word?) but to me it's great. My MAM? I reckon they will have their day in the future.
If you did not collect Vam/Joe/Mam what would you collect ? I've always collected something! Normally crap! Lol, I've got a good few British comic annuals 'whizzer and chips' and 'beezer' ect and my 'VIZ comic' collection was doing well until I gave up on it a couple of years ago. Sad
What AM/Joe outfit or set would you like to have seen released? Tough question as there are so many outfits and uni's that would look great in 1/6.. Maybe palitoy should have done a 'medieval knights' range!!
Do you have a/What is your favourite section of AMMO? Easy! that has got to be the vam Kitbash and custom sections. And others vam collections are great to look at too.
Why do you like AMMO ? I don't like AMMO!!! I LOVE AMMO!! Ive been into a few forums/sites over the last couple of years and This is the friendliest, hands down!! And we've got the AMMO ARMS too! Great hang out, great people, great chat!! I think the words to the theme of that 80s American tv show 'cheers' had the right sentiment to parallel this great forum.. "Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go
Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows Your name." | |

| That hit the spot! Excellent read and wise words!!! (Great tip by the way! I'm originally from Thornhill Council estate in Southampton and I've spent a lifetime of adding Hampshire to the address to make it sound posh!!!!!!! For me, you just had to say Basingstoke - there's P O S H!!!! ) 'Where everybody knows your na aaame!' _________________ | |

| Great interview! Nice to know that people still have fun with their VAMs... Sparkys - I beat you! Yesterday I worked 15 1/2 hours - 7 a.m. - 10.30 p.m., with just one ten minute break at 1.30... Is that crazy, or just illegal? At about 5 p.m., I fell off of the stage, bruising my knees and twisting a wrist, but like a true PH, I kept on going Today I am aching all over! Yet another sign that I'm not 19 any more... A good read of the forum cheered me up no end, I can tell you!
