I have been told in the past it's in bad taste, but what do you think?

I think its a great kit bash Brian, after all he is an action figure ! and if toy companies can produce other figures such as Hitler and the like, then why is he in bad taste?

I don't have a problem with the depiction of generic SS soldiers in 1/6. I do reserve the right to curse 1/6 versions of Kurt Meyer, and wish his upon his descendants the same treatment he ordered for Canadian soldiers...
If this SS figure is in bad taste then so is the VAM 7th Cavalry set. I quite like the Cavalry set.

Brian I have done Nazi bashes myself in the past & had them on Ebay. I don't care for a solitary moment what others have to say over it , It's a bash that existed & played a major part of what went on to become the Action man I guess via the Storm trooper etc. That's no more offensive than this or any other , So bash away mate. I love this & I think you HAVE to do an officer over him at least. Hong Kong do the 3 quarter length leather coat in Nazi form , It's fantastic !! As is this bash.

Where would Dragon and BBI be without WWII German uniforms? No question the Nazis had the better stuff although Herman Goering might have wanted to rethink that white Luftwaffe suit!
That's a great bash Brian. As people have said it's an historical representation, you're not endorsing or glorifying anything.

Cheers Chaps for the comments. I did get into loads of trouble when I sold some like this on EBay falling foul of there race hate laws. I even spoke to PayPal once when they threatened me with prosecution because I had sold one and sent it to Germany inadvertently breaking more laws about sending any SS material through The German postal system
Here is another uniform from In The Past Toys.
Edit: no idea what happened to this uniform or figure though, maybe still hiding in the loft!

Sharp looking uniforms, Brian!
It's not bad taste at all, it's a uniform from human History.. The "Think Tank" vampires are out of control!.. I can visualize piles of books being burnt, like in that 1966 film " Fahrenheit 451"
Next stop " Thought Crime"!

The funky 1984 @ Joe90, That's John Hurt of "Alien" and "Doctor Who" fame, a favourite actor of mine .
They ain't touching my WW1 & WWII book stash! They can burn my "Ballooning Through The Ages" book instead

Hi Brian. Not a big problem for me either. In fact Ade's SS bashes were amazing and well worth a look. He sprayed a Charilea bike and sidecar black I think or was that Mark lol getting old).
I did take a breath in when I saw the figure doing the nazi salute, looks less of a toy I suppose and that salute is very evocative for some. I can understand why some might take offence. Friends of mine were organising a holocaust memorial event today. One is of Jewish descent, though also works for a charity aiding Palestinians and is a Quaker and the other has a server disability. It did make me think that under a nazi regime in Germany in 1942 all three of us would have been heading towards concentration camps!!!
So In fact. If the purpose is to represent history then all to well and good, if it gets people thinking then figures like this serve an important part in providing a vehicle for us all to remember some of the events in history that are less than palatable.
Hope I didn't miss the point lol
