This guy is pretty cool! Plus, he's almost as common and almost as inexpensive on the secondary market as the Foreign Soldiers Collection Japanese Army Air Force Officer figure. I'm not sure why these two figures don't generate much interest on the secondary market. Maybe they were over-produced during their original release. Or was the GI Joe resurgence beginning to fade by the end of the 1990s, resulting in excessive overstock? Or perhaps 1:6 scale pilots call for 1:6 scale airplanes, which can be problematic in terms of both space and cost.
