This is Tom K's old biscuit tin. He was confined to solitary in the loft for more than 40 years, but now he has some new mates to hang out with and he doesn't need to lonely any more, or does he?

Yeah, solitary was a bit harsh and he had all his gear crammed in their too! He turned out okay in the end though, just... 

and he now has a great team with him!   

Bet He`s knees hurt after being in there for along Time   good old stretch and a run around wil get them working again to play with his new team

Fantastic picture Ralph! I love the typical 1970's almost Thelwell gymkhana illustration on the tin! That tin has been Tom K's cleverly disguised tardis, his time machine to the future where he has access to resources he could have never dreamed of having in 1970.

He's at home now in 2014 but I do have to say he needs to work on his team a bit!  


(ps does anyone else have the tin/box/bag/whatever their VAM used as a liferaft to survive their years in the loft?)

Nah, I am afraid not steve, my guys survived in cardboard boxes with black bags lining their insides   

Inspired by Tom K's biscuit tin here's the time machine my guys used to survive the loft.



The old drawer I'd previously used to store them in. I used to keep it under the my bed as a kid.

are they your old action men too ? bout time you gave the boys a 2nd life and fixed them up !

Oh...I forgot to say, I hope you weren't smoking Marlboro with your R. Whites Lemonade while playing with your Action Men?

I've been slowly revamping my childhood guys so those still in the Drawer are the few still waiting their turn. As a lot of you know things move pretty slow at SKJ HQ!  

..and Ralph, didn't everyone drink lemonade and smoke Marlboro while they were playing VAM as kids?

I think I smoked Marlboro when I was 10 years old. Joe & the Marlboro Man...lol
I no longer smoke though...
