| As Dal says basic soldiers are the best and the sweater wearing, SLR carrying basic 3rd issue and onwards, starting in 1973 was the best basic too! _________________ Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. | |

| Ah, the basic soldier - they are just like my first AM back in the 70's. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some good memories! _________________ | |

| Those reissued uni's are really well done, I like them a lot, in fact they're a Godsend! In the past I've thrown away about 12 vintage jerseys through them being knackered (faded patches, ripped, laddered and totally out of shape) they're very hard to put right again I prefer the new 40th reissues these days, they're guaranteed to be mint/fresh! I do have some original ones in good condition _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| Chris (Rogue Trooper) got me a Blonde/No Beard, Gripping Hands 40th AM from lui66 over on UAMHQ. Like the one pictured here.
But he's nude, so I bashed together a uniform from Modellers Loft including the pants, jumper and muffler; a Talking Commander Black Beret; LRDG Thompson; Belt, Holster and .45; and Special Ops kit.
I'll post pics when everything shows up.

| The uniform will likely arrive long before the figure, seeing as how the figure will be getting here in December through a complicated shipping process involving a handoff to a friend coming to the States, and shipping from within.
If the figure does get here before Christmas, I'd like to wait and open him at Christmas. I've been told there'll be some special goodies in the box with my figure, so it should be a nice surprise.
The stuff from Modellers Loft I will likely buy early next week, but I have no idea how long it will take to get to me.
