Kitbashed Special Operations Tents

I have had one or two Special Operations Tent canvas's knocking about for a while now with no poles or bases. I decided i would like to use these for one or two possible dioramas in the future. So............I kindly got the measurements for the tent from daz28 and made a MDF base from 6mm MDF, and used 5 mm dowel to use as poles. I then drilled the wholes for the pegs and glued in, finished off by spraying the base and poles with 'NATO Green' paint.

You'll notice on one tent the edge poles are thicker, this is due to the brass ringlets on the tent missing. On the canvas that has the ringlets in a trimmed the tops so the eyelets would fit on.

Matt72 also kindly donated a some what faded canvas which, unknown to him worked out perfectly for me to create a DAK tent. The DAK tent base and poles is sprayed with 'desert sand' paint

I used to make tents out of old pillow cases and wire coat hangers, they were held together with shoe laces and string Wink

Thanks for sorting my images, I don't mind at all for your help. I think i now knowhow to do it correctly now after actionman2272 helped me via PM

Four.........there is a 5th on the way and i also have a Bivouac tent but i did not post that earlier as i have no green paint left but sod it here it is.
