Washing multiple VAM clothes together - do colours run?

I have just purchased a job lot of VAM clothes, the usual smelly musty and also dirty is what they are. Does anyone know if the colours rum on VAM clothes or can i just chuck them all in and wash together?

My head says no you can't but just wondered if anyone else had done this?

i would try a gentle hand wash

I gentle hand wash each piece also...

Fill a bowl with warm water and add some washing liquid/powder. Wash the pieces individually in the water you will then see if any of the colour has come out. Then rinse in cold water. In my experience this hasn't occurred, but there again I've only washed them to then go on and strip the colour with bleach then dye them a new colour.

Cappy's advice is best...you definitely want to keep those items separate as the will likely bleed out. Especially with stronger cleaning products. I usually keep Green with green, black with black....etc. never mix brights with darks! You will not like the results....
