| I love this look so much for Seven, I had to take another pose... This effect makes the green look really deep and rich I think This is an alternative monochrome look _________________ RalphMe? | Subject: Diesel in the Store Room Thu Mar 05, 2015 6:53 pm | |
| I found these great little VAM size store boxes for Tom's crew to keep their pistols, holsters, hats, belts in. They're made by the Really Useful Box company and I chose the 0.14 litre size as I thought the scale looked just right. I'm planning to start work on a real Tom K HQ this summer, so collecting some 1:6 bits already... I also tried out some long exposure in low room lighting instead of the full on studio lighting I have been using recently and I'm quite pleased with result. I noticed that shadowing over his eyes caused by the shelf above and wanted to capture it. Taken with the camera on a tripod of course to avoid camera shake! Also, found this cool looking dark sepia effect _________________ RalphMe? Well, I live life vicariously! My Action Man? Well, he lives life victoriously! See my photos @ Flickr | |

| Great photos, I really love your work and look forward to your upcoming HQ! If you plan to pose the figure with the jacket open I wondered if you considered removing the snaps? Just a thought. Thanks, Brian | |

| Makes sense, Ralph. It's funny how sometimes we are blind to things right in front of us. I never noticed them either, but once I did, now I can't miss them. There's really no wrong answer. We all have different ways of approaching the hobby and it's all good. Thanks, Brian | |

Thanks, Brian Yeah, this hobby, especially the photography side, can come across as a somewhat awkward balance between 1:6 scale modelling and fantasy toy play. As you say, everyone on this forum has a different take and that's what makes it interesting. As my wife is a photographer, the fact that I'm attempting to learn photography by using my Action Men, helps merge our interests and in return she helps me understand basic techniques. Out of this I'm actually developing an interest in more general photography, such as cityscape and portrait. We're off to Prague this month to do just that, maybe I'll post some shots in the Off Topic section. _________________ RalphMe? Well, I live life vicariously! My Action Man?
