| The inspiration for this kitbash... Corpral Walter 'Radar' O'Reilly of the 4077th M*A*S*H... This was a simple 'bash inspired partly by the Dragon jeep driver's cap which had been lying around in my footlocker for a while. Then I acquired a Timeless GI Joe figure that seemed to have a softer, younger looking face than the 40th figures, which sparked the idea. The rest of the kit was the standard Palitoy Action Soldier fatigues with the shirt very slightly modified. To this was added a Cotswold t-shirt, a B B I belt and a Hasbro Action Pilot clipboard. The hat was a bee-atch to fit correctly as it kept slipping off the painted head figure. In the end it was secured in position by double sided sticky tape... The 'bash then lay in Limbo for several weeks because I could not find the correct style of glasses. Then I was lucky enough to find some glasses from a Dragon Japanese officer figure, available from a kit-splitter site. I sometimes find that the simplest kitbashes often turn out to be among my favourites, and this is certainly one of them. "Uh-oh. Choppers!" | |
