Recently decided to dress up my Sgt Rock figures with some equipment to finish them off.
The figures only come with basic uniforms and a weapon, so they needed some basic kit to ready them for action. I decided against using Hasbro/Palitoy kit, as the Dreams and Visions, the producers of these figures, use more realistic "Dragon" style kit on the figures. So, I purchased some "realistic" WWII kit from Cotswold to dress the figures.
First up is Sgt Rock. I've added a belt, pistol and holster, first aid pouch and canteen, all from Cotswold and the grenades are from the GI Joe Classic Collection range...
The figure already came with the bullet bandolier across his shoulder. I added a second one from a second Sgt Rock figure...
Next, Jackie Johnson...
For him and for all the other Easy Company figures I've added an ammo belt, first aid pouch and a knife and scabbard from Cotswold...
Also a canteen and cover from Cotswold...
Bulldozer. As well as the Cotswold kit I've added two bullet bandoliers from the GI Joe Classic Collection range...
Wildman. In addition to the Cotswold kit, he has an ammo bandolier from Cotswold and some grenades from the GI Joe Classic Collection range...
Little Sure Shot. In addition to the Cotswold kit, he has a field telephone from the Sgt Rock Ground Combat set...
Next up is Sgt Rock with two of the cards released with these figures...
The figure is wearing the 'Breakout at Normandy' kit, a superb set. That isn't fading you're seeing on the uniform by the way. If you look at the carded set in the previous photo you'll see the same markings. The darker patches are supposed to be blood picked up from the water while wading ashore at Normandy. Pretty grim for a GI Joe set...
The shovel and cover come from the Sgt Rock 'Ground Combat' set...
Sgt Rock(s) and the men of Easy Company reporting for duty...
My next ambition for this range is to pick up an extra set of figures and customise their appearance to make them look more like their familiar comic book image as shown on the box art for each figure. Particularly the Sarge - he looks way too tidy!
