| This is an unusual 'bash in that it was not born out of any idea for a subject, but came about through looking at various disparate pieces of kit in my spares box and playing about with a colour combination I hadn't tried before, namely black and shades of brown. It was only when the black and brown hunting rifle came into the mix that the light bulb went on. This is the type of wealthy, playboy hunter/explorer that goes on top-flight, luxury safaris and is always dressed to kill (pardon the pun) in designer gear, even when in the great outdoors... The black French Resistance sweater and the waistcoat from the Cowboy basic figure were the first pieces that I liked the look of together were what and set me off experimenting with the black/brown combination. The holster and Lebel pistol are from the Geyper Man (red-sweater) Adventurer... Tan Hasbro style pants and canteen/canteen cover are by Cotswold, the black first aid pouch is from the GI Joe Marine Paratrooper set and the boots are from the Action Pilot basic figure... The belt is by Cotswold and the machete and sheath are from the Action Man Jungle Explorer set... The hunting rifle is from the Geyper Man Jungle Explorer set and the wristwatch is of unknown origin, from a job lot I bought a while ago and which I thought just added to the "affluent" look of the figure... Considering the trial and error means by which this 'bash was arrived at, I am very pleased with the final result. All modelled on a 40th fuzzhead. | |

| He looks great! The only thing I might suggest is to switch out his boots for riding boots or jackboots for a more aristocratic air. That's what I did for my "safari adventurer"! Just a suggestion, though! -Nate | |

| Nice bash with great colour variations on the equipment making it a little different. Ian just see him taking a break from the hunt to quaff some champers and smoked salmon from his wicker basket carried by his faithful entourage before posing for a few shots with his kill whilst puffing on a hand-rolled Cuban _________________ Greetings from the Barnster | |

| Very nice combination with good contrasting colours! I think the figure needs a hat with a zebra pattern band and some sunglasses. The sun is normally fierce out on safaris, especially if the safari is in Africa and the likes. _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| Another great bash Jim, as others have said the combination of colours is very effective and suits this bash very well! _________________ WHO WATCHES THE VOLGANS... | |

I had the same thought. I have a pair of Geyper Man jackboots that are ultra-shiny, much more so than the Palitoy ones. They look just the part on him. | |

| Made a couple of revisions to this guy. Firstly replaced the figure with a beardy (again thanks to Cappy for stocking me up with a quick supply of bearded fellas) and also replaced the combat boots with a very shiny pair (shiniest I've ever seen) of Geyper Man Jackboots. I think these add more to the affluent look, more than the combat boots did. [URL=http | |
