| The Spartan is a rare vehicle indeed. If its anything like my tank, those axle hub caps won't clean up too well. I used a fine grade sand paper to sand down the rust. The plan was then to use a chrome paint to finish them off, but I only got as far as the sanding.  |

That's what i do, but after using very fine rubbing paper i coat the axle hub caps with WD-40 via a small paintbrush...
