| Hi folks, Let me quickly introduce myself to those folks who may not know me from over on UAMHQ. ( many thanks to SomeKindaJoe and BlondeActionMan for their support ) I'ma 55 year old bloke who has decided to fully embrace my VAM 'itch' . This took place in December when I went up into the loft and found a case of kit and men I'd collected back in the mid 80's. I had some of my original figures ( whom I had on display in the downstairs loo ) or their heads ! So I decided to "just fix them up" .. started to do a bit of research on the internet and before you know it ...I'm hooked! I'm running a project to create my own VAM army . I share Steve (SKJ)'s 'itch' for uniformity . To help I'm creating a back story. The peaceful loving republic of Munrovia has been overrun by its more technolgically advanced neighbour Dragonia. They are after some key Munrovian natural resources . The D Coy of 2nd Battalion of the Munrovia Volunteers are holding out in the Sandiway Hills. They are attracting remnants of the overrun Munrovian forces and attracting new volunteers to form the Liberation Forces. Aiding them is the CO11 ( Childhood 11)- Crack VAM operatives Thanks Dal for the inspiration! So as you can see I'm very much a 'enthusiast' and plan to indulge my 10 &3/4 old self in "recreating' new VAM adventures Here are a few of the troops The collection on display The CO11-I'm just missing a Tommy Gunn to complete the line up plus a Marx Knight . General Custer was in bits when this shot was taken but is now nearly restored. BLACK & NO1 - A couple of characters from the CO11- They are my first AM & my last . I'll post a story ( Saga) of a recent Holiday adventure soon. Sorry about the names - I was rubbish at naming them back in the day - some thing I'm intending to put right 2nd time around D Coy The Co ( Major Mike Baker)& 2 ic Captain Ezra Kobina 13 Platoon- regulars.- They have recently recieved their SLR's from Wiscan Armouries. 14 Platoon- reservists- waiting to be kitted out with 'old stores" a captured Dragonian weapons The Recruits & the training team - These guys are in training & will soon join the fray. The Scouts Their Commander is Zabaletta. Members of 1st battalion 1 Para survivors of the regular forces Special Squads- Uniformity project Assault troops-Yes Know - how lucky am I? a Missile trooper-from my 1980's carboot stash.( its about 95% complete) Base Security MAM- Heavy weapons Support Recent MAM recruits And now the Enemy... These guys are Dragonian Clone Warriors. They have been cloned in Dragonian MattelLabs . They are elite Shock troops. Two Black Crows and a Red Claw. Two elite N-tek Hunter Scouts- Drax , the guy on the left is a key figure. Hunter squad- Heavy weapons support group I'll be adding to the back story with some posts over the coming few days . Forgive me if I post in the wrong place to start with- take care Gunner | |

| Due to a severe case of itchy e-bay finger, there have been several parcels arriving at The Munrovian HQ.One of the CO11 is a Pedigree Captain Scarlet. Well actually just the head on a Cotswold body.I'm thinking he arrived at the hight of The Captain Scarlet TV series of the 1960'- so I'm guessing 67 or '68. I remember being so excited and I wasn't disappointed. He remained in his original gear for a year or so, but pretty quickly after that started tp appear on active duty with the rest of the VAM gang. I actually had his jumpsuit, Helmet/Cap ( minus mike) Vest and his pistol when my gear went into the loft in the "cardboard box" around 76/77. Alas - that went to "Neil up the road" while I was at Uni.( Thanks Mum!)So as my restoration project of the CO11 started to form, I thought I wonder about getting Captain S some gear... and the Blimey ! I couldn't believe some of the prices on e-bay. ..so a plan attached to give a key CO11 player a trip down memory lane without breaking the bank ! Sgt Gunner 2.0 takes Captain S to one side."Captain S , you know how Gunner has always had a soft spot for you ?"" Really? .. to be honest I thought he hated me ! How come I was the one who seem to get shot first and fall down any cliff or what about the time I was buried in the mud at Bardsea?""Well take a look over there..""What the holy Mysterons ?....is that...I don't believe it...Captain S. is over come ...and needs a moment."That looks like my old operational gear ! Can it be ?"" Well not exactly . Its from a 1993 reboot..but you'll he able to look the part if you want !""Come on - let me try it on!""This a little short in the sleeve, but a nice fit around the budgie smugglers ""Try the jacket on for size""Hmm.. I'm not too sure about the boots""The Jerkin looks great mate""Yep but these boots will never fit "" Well, when faced with a problem, ask what would the lone ranger do?""Ta da !!- Just don't ask me to run after Captain Black or Destiny Angel !"So Captain S, gets to relive the feeling of '67...Armed with a Chad Valley pistol and a Star Wars Storm trooper Blaster, he looks the part......But he will soon be back in his CO11 gear for any active Ops against the Dragonians.. but until then he can dream ....Dreams of Destiny lol | |

| Hi Dal they are probably both. They are a solid plastic , ideal fro fitting in a bendy 'barbie' type leg foot but no good for our man.
I may be able to kit bash some Dragon Jackboots or something similar ? | |

| Great looking Captain Scarlet! In terms of the boots; though the shape is different the Captain Action Ironman or Captain America boots would work. They were going to do a Superman (as Ideal had done in the 60s) but the reboot line ended before the DC figures were made.
