| Hi Folks These three arrived to report for active duty with the Munrovian's this week The guy on the right is a Marx knight kitted out in a German SOTW. The Guy in the centre is 70's Fuzz head. But the guy on the left looks like a Knock off ?- he has Redbox on his back and the labels in his kit are "made in british crown colony." When disrobed he looks like this I'm getting some vague memories from back in the day that I may have had one of these - He was unceremoniously referred to as Dummy ! | |

So who/what are the others ? - I recognise some Tommy Gunn K/O on the left of the Mag cover. not sure of the others- one even looks like they have been re-flocked ?

| Thanks Gunner, The idea originated in Ammo Chat, all figures except one are on action man 64 bodies, the other an DPEE body. From left to right, mintex, Tommy Gun, Redbox, Action Mike (Dynaman) yes he was reflocked and I must admit I am at a loss for the last one | |

| The body of that Redbox figure reminds me of the poor AM knockoffs that came with some Cherilea vehicles, but the Redbox has a lot more joints. _________________ | |

| You can't beat a nice KO and this is the best looking one I've ever seen!! You must have had a few back in the day Steve. They were a favourite present from a well meaning but tight old aunt or similar. Failing that, they were pocket money prices so you could always buy your own when you needed a victim for that suicide mission or dangerous experiment. They were infinitely expendable but nowdays hold a strange nostalgic appeal. Despite the figure being rubbish, some of the kit and clothing was as good a quality as Palitoy/Hasbro so that was usually kept long after the poor KO had met a sticky end. My favourite KO was the Redbox DSD.. https://actionmanmobileops.forumotion.co.uk/t2405-redbox-dsd?highlight=redbox+DSD_________________ Life moves pretty fast. | Hi Steve I almost certainly did. I'm rummaging around in my 8 year old memory bank and can see a US marine (cammo) Uniform? - really remember the jointing and the flimsy feel to him. I'm pretty sure he was the guy I used to lob pebbles at off the beach at My new guys uniform is really well made. His Beret is Hasbro- so I'm assuming he probably had a fatigue hat and or a Helmet. Loved the DSD thread . The DSD was never a favourite of mine either as a kid. Same with the frogman. I was definitely Soldier all the way. One to keep I think | |

| Ho folks thanks for all the info about my Redbox "Combat Johnny"(?). I'll keep him as is and give him an honorary associate membership of the CO11 I went a googling and e-bay browsing and was really shocked at how much a DSD can go for. Amazing stuff for a KO. I was really rubbish at giving the Guys character names so he'll be RTO "Red" John from now on . | |

| Hi folks these turned up in a bundle. One looks like a Tommy Gunn KO and the other , not so sure. He has an interesting Scar or a plaster on his cheek. I'm assuming Mintex were a REdBox rival ?- any background to these chaps? | |

They would! They would! More figures arriving at Gunner HQ?? Mrs M will be so pleased! Does the box ring any bells Steve? The Tommy Gunn KO headsculpt seemed to be more numerous. I had a few as a kid (They all died horribly!) They also all seem to have come in the orange jump suit too. I half remember having one with the 'X' scar but he was dressed in duck camo. Was he just an alternate Mintex head or from some other KO company? I ask as this pic from the net shows the 'X' scar guy with a 'Buddy' box. _________________ Life moves pretty fast. | Hi Steve, That boxed figure looks great . I hadn't thought about re bodying them - Thats my next mission , they deserve a spot with the Munrovians Mrs M now getting "adjusted" to 'constant trickle' in my view , 'daily deluge' in her view Thanks for sharing & jogging my memories

REALLY don't like that lipstick....red? Have noticed that even some MAMs have been given the "lippie" treatment. Whole the hell ever though men should have such red lips? I thought the idea was to get away from the Barbie look? |
