| I've been clearing a out a cupboard in my office ( to make room for Action Man ) and I came across these photos . I'd forgotten I did this . They were taken in my Mum and Dad's old house in Ulverston. I'm guessing by the inclusion of Adam's( my eldest son ) Duke it must be circa 94 or 5. Adam remembers doing the set up with me - he would have been 8 or 9 years old- Prime Action Man play time ! The figures are all from the mid 80's car boot finds I had that have formed the spine of my current collection. - a rare outing into the sun for the lads ! A lone sentry keeps watch for any approaching enemy The allied base camp . Yep that is an old loo being used as plant pot ( waste not want not eh dad ) After the enemy attack !- looks like the Allies fought bravely but couldn't overcome the superior Enemy numbers Prisoners being interrogated - Captain Zargon makes an appearnace a the enemy supreme commander.- Its not looking good for the lads ! Thats the lot- I'm hoping I took some more and they are lurking in another box of photo's so I can find out what happened ! Looks Like Adam went down the classic Allies vs Germans for his Action Man battle. I also found this one of me from TA days- on annual camp in Belgium (an old SS training camp !) . The lads of 16 Platoon (Northwich detached Platoon D Coy 3 Cheshire ) relax by the M26 ? tank used as a confidence exercise . Essentially we had to stand in front of it and let it drive over us ! - 3 times I'm front left as you look at the tank .Not a very warlike pose and what looks like my Magnum Moustache period: Thanks for looking | |

| Awwwwww I really loved looking through the pictures of you and your sons Action Man play time . The first picture A lone sentry keeps watch for any approaching enemy is my favourite because it's a nice simple picture. Prisoners being interrogated - Captain Zargo, I imaginationed Captain Zargo interrogation wouldn't be very nice at all. That was good hear that you were clearning out a cupboard in your office to make room for Action Man . _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.

| Great pics! The tank in question is an M41 Walker Bulldog. It is one of the quintessential Cold War tanks to us Yanks. It used the same 76mm gun as late War Shermans. They pop up in several war films (they depicted Shermans in 1970s Patton; and played German tanks in the TV show Combat!) Coming full circle to Joe/VAM, the M41 is the inspiration for the Iron Knight tank.
Great pics of your lads!

| The VAM are from 80's boot finds?
Wonder if MacBeth is in there...
"Pete," as he would have been called back in those days. | |

| Great pics there Steve. I've seen them before over on 't'other place' before all our images were wiped by successive issues. It's great to see them intact here. _________________ Real heroes don't die... they just reload.
