Joe outfit: If it has plastic popper fasteners or velcro it's HOF. That camo pattern was used in the MAM version of that uniform. Rossini is probably right about the body armour being HMAF, i think i have that same body armour on one of my HMAF figures, i had totally forgotten i had some until this moment scratch

Jacket is Velcro

Trousers are Velcro fly with a popper at top. The body armour is just about ok on Carl, but I tried it on a MAM...and it didn't fit.

Sigh..so you spend ages trying to get the lip colour just right for an action man that you are painting. Then your 7 year old daughter walks in and says through her laughter " your action man's got lipstick on"

So I started again...pics to follow when he's dry.

Oh and BrownBoots was right.squib orange is the perfect colour for the auburn hair.

I've also given a MAM a new hair colour...

A blonde VAM now has flock sideburns..

And as I don't have any VAM brown boots I've painted some...

And the warpaint stripes are slowly coming off of a MAM head..

All whilst being serenaded by my 7 year old with songs about how stupid her daddy is lol!

Nice paint blend, they look really good, i also like the way the scar stands out on the painthead (ex flockie?). I've seen a video of a woman using artist acrylic paints to bring to life some action figure head sculpts, she mixed the paint tones on the back of her hand, she done a brilliant job on them, they had a matt finish and looked very realistic. You've done a super job on these Rogue-Trooper, it's always good to see vam get restored back to former glory Cool

I'm actually using a kitchen scouring pad..you know the ones with sponge one side and green rough stuff the other side ?? And I started with Vanish liquid, but it's slow going so I might try something else.

Once I find a suitable body for the head, I think I'm going to dress him the way I think I would dress if I was part of an 'Expendables' style troop. Seeing as how my missus thinks it looks like me lol

The easiest and fastest way to remove paint from head sculpts is to use Wet & Dry rubbing paper, then work your way down to a fine 1000+ grade thats been slightly blunted, this will allow for a perfect skin finish without the large ugly scratches that coarse paper leaves Wink

That captain Action flock look the bollocks! Me and Jay both reckon he has a Rick Grimes look about him so I think with a little thought that particular head sculpt (my fave) could be well utilised and flocked for a great TWD bash!!
