Earlier you mentioned shredding your boxes and packaging, remember boxes and packaging artwork are just as important to future collectors/buyers as the contents themselves, they also add £££ in case you decide to sell up in the future  

It might be a good idea to flatpack your empty boxes and store them in sealed bin bags in the loft, garage or shed

This likely looking fella turned up today.

He needs new hands and a restring, but apart from that he is in great condition.

Lol..we've been debating what's wrong all evening.

I missed this recent update, I like the kitbashes, very well done.

I performed my first restring today.

This is how he arrived. Very loose and arms on the wrong side.

All done..and new hands too.


Ready for action.... although he will need a reflock sometime soon.

I have fond memories of my restringing days, plus sewing too, it was right at the start of my 2nd collecting tour, I burned many a candle into the small hours back then

You should have switched the light on instead of using candles...... it's much easier to see

Candles evoke a nostalgic buzz for me: the power cuts of the late 1960's/early 70's

He looks the biz now Chris- I agree with the fellas , bringing a trooper back into active service is great fun I just wish they could talk and tell us their back story
