| The Deep Sea Diver is an incredible set. The original worked, to a certain extent. I'm told by my dad that the suit wasn't at all waterproof. (The only surviving piece of his set is the sledgehammer) I got two different sets in the 2016 Joecon set. A "Classic" set, and a "Stealth" set featuring just about everything in a different color. The Eight Ropes of DangerI don't know if my reproduction "works" like the original did, but I'm not going to try it. | |

Compared to original weights that I've handled (heard a rumor that originals are lead), they seem about the right weight. But my not trying it out was less of an instruction not to do so, and more of a refusal on my end because I paid stupid money for it, and don't want to ruin either set.

| I bought old vintage Joe figures for the sole purpose of doing underwater missions and other type missions so I could take pics and not worry about ruining them...Same with the newer Diver sets I bought...That was my sole purpose at the time... Now I use the dive suits on my Vintage 1960's Gijoes which I display... After many Water & Land missions the old vintage Joes I bought are still looking good and have become my favorite figures... These days they are doing more relaxing than going on missions though... _________________ JIM...

| The new weights are a die-cast, pot metal type.
Don't know about the Timeless sets, they're probably the same.
(The Timeless Deep Sea Diver set has a Die Cast Helmet)

(The Timeless Deep Sea Diver set has a Die Cast Helmet) i imagine the die cast helmet would make it hard to pose a fig _________________ cheers jim

| Very nice sets. I once had a DSD collection wise a long time ago. It's funny I think how you cannot get through this collecting lark without ending up with at least one lead shoe ffs. _________________ Play nicely ! | |

| The diver in my pics has the die cast heavy helmet... Notice he lays on the bottom like a rock... Yes the figure better be real tight to pose with that helmet on... _________________ JIM...
