| Great news, guys: Falcon is coming back. A great friend of mine, Alexandre Nunes, owner of Galeria dos Brinquedos, just confirmed this news today in a interview with Aires Fernandes, marking director of Estrela. I will try give you as much information as we got today because yes, it all happened today. Even terra.com.br, a major news website site here, covered this announcement. The first thing you should know is that Estrela is commemorating 80 years in 2017 so they are planing reissues of many classic toys released by them in Brazil in the last 8 decades and Falcon is one of them. At night, Giovanni Raimondo, owner of Falcon80, posted on his facebook page more details about the process telling us that he was in fact essential in all this process and that Estrela itself contacted him in the last months for a series of interviews where he presented his collection of Falcons and sets, offering his ideas for a relaunch. As the months passed, Estrela was shapping its marking approach and, by now, as far as he knows, they have this planned: 1) The first wave will be produced around june or july. 2) ALL figures will be flocked, this is due poor and bad reception of the reissues back in 1994 and 2000. 3) Falcon will be the very same figure as in 1977. So far we can understand that he will have hasbro muscle body, flocked head. 4) The first wave will have painted eyes. 5) Eagle eyes are planned for later release in 2017. 6) The first wave will have two or three sets (brazilians call them "adventures", dont ask me why ). As far as Raimondo could see, Estrela is planning an initial release of sets covering earth, water and air themes. 7) So far, all the sets were the ones originally done by Hasbro and released in Brazil by Estrela. This mean NO original futuristic sets (very much loved for foreigners collectors) or figures done by Estrela are planned at this moment. If the line succeeds, they will release more sets. Raimondo also asked us to have patience because until the whole thing enter in production, it can be pulled out by Estrela. He gave us 80% of certain that things will happen based on what he saw and know as advisor. As far as we have more news, I will keep you guys updated. Enjoy the promo art released by Estrela and published on Terra: EDIT: So far, no word about Torak or Condor. Only "Falcon". UPDATE 3-8-217My pal Alexandre Nunes got an official press release from Estrela regarding Abrin, our national toy fair in Brazil. Estrela will present their toys there and they sent him an photo regarding Falcon relaunch. Here is the link: http://www.galeriadosbrinquedos.com.br/2017/03/estrela-lanca-250-produtos-para.htmlAnd here is the photo. Alexandre thinks this confirm 3 sets for the initial release. Although they have eagle eyes in the pic, they are confirmed only for a possible late release in 2017. This also confirms what Raimondo said (above) regarding the first way presenting adventures sets with themes based on air, earth an water. Cheers. UPDATE 3-21-217Alexandre Nunes from Galeria dos Brinquedos was this morning visiting ABRIN (the aftermentioned brazilian greatest and national toyfair) and could see Falcon displayed as future release by Estrela. The first two figures also had the price confirmed by him: 169BRL (+or- 56usd) and 199BRL (around 65usd). The first wave was confirmed to hit the stores in june and july. Check the pics (including the eagle eyes prototype and the seemely confirmed turbocopter) here: http://www.galeriadosbrinquedos.com.br/2017/03/falcon-esta-na-abrin.htmlSources (you can use google translator): http://www.galeriadosbrinquedos.com.br/2017/03/confirmado-teremos-falcon-em-2017.htmlhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/heroideverdade/permalink/1324085547627086/https://noticias.terra.com.br/dino/estrela-celebra-80-anos-com-250-lancamentos-e-entrada-em-novos-segmentos-de-negocios,e7d89fd4fda1afb536838a652dcdd8c889ianxen.html

| Go figure, Yankee... I am also puzzled by why hasbro never reissued its muscle body on, lets say, any convention or club sets and let gayperman be reissued.
I am curious to see what changes (if any) Estrela will make in the body.

| Prices are hard to say... I can give you a hint based on other 12" figures aviable here, mostly brought by Hasbro or Mattel. Then again the problem is that none of them have the level of detail or accessories that these planned figures. You can buy a 12" DC Movie Master for 70 dolars here. I am betting that a Falcon will be around 100-130usd. Just a loose bet. | |

Not even that, the 50th came and left, and the original was forgotten by Hasbro. Now it seems like all the licenses are getting some great reproductions. Action Man, now Falcon, Geyperman has had it for several years, but still. Makes me go...

| Sorry, guys, I just fixed some typos. Yankee, I agree: the whole 50th anniversary was a shame. They should have loaded us with special reissues. | |

| They do look good, If I had more money to throw around, perhaps I'd get the safari guy.
Do you know what toolings they'll use for the figures? Hobbycrash's Geyper molds or does Estrella plan to make new? Or are the original Falcon Molds still around?

Do you know what toolings they'll use for the figures? Hobbycrash's Geyper molds or does Estrella plan to make new? Or are the original Falcon Molds still around? As far as we know, they will use hasbro muscle bodies, not hobbycash reissues. The question remains if they will replace the elastic with conectors like those from cotswold repair kit. The "Falcon" mold was just the regular Adventure Team muscle body. We think Estrela will produce new molds. I really doubt the original molds are still around, but perhaps the ones they used for the 1994 and 2000 Â reissues (if they are not the same) possible are. What you and others may find interesting, if i may share a piece of knowledge, is that Estrela often mixed Hasbro stuff with Mattel's Big Jim sets. The Safari is a good example of that, just like the "eagle". The original safari set was released in the early 80s (got mine on 83) even had that gorilla originally released with Tarzan. You can trace 3 braches on Falcon's timeline: - The first one was entirely made with hasbro sets, vehicles etc, even talking the last touches of GI Joe military approach like the jeep and the tank. - The second mixed hasbro and mattel stuff. They focused on "adventure" theme. Sets including hunting animals like gorillas (mattel), sharks, eagles (mattel) etc. - The third one was the sci-fi era, the whole sets where done by Estrela and are highly popular among collectors here and overseas. The "deep dive" was fom the first wave like the turbocopter. The safari belonged to the second. Here is a picture of the original safari set with the gorilla (of course, they wont add it now due licence issues) from Brinquedos Raros.

| I think it would be a smart move to make a new Gorilla for the set, that way, they don't have to deal with the licensing issues. | |

Yes they should but sadly I dont think they will, man. It is also interesting to point that the "pygmy gorilla" was never released here. Estrela took the concept from hasbro but adapted it into a whole different set with a huge animal.
