| Simply fantastic work Dean! everything about it is superb! Do you use the small wooden stick hidden up the trouser leg to help with positioning? Really enjoyed the posts mate, looking forward to part two | |

Thanks dal ... I didn't have to use the stick up the trousers trick , as they were in coup of inches of sand and they stood up easily onthere own..

| Terrific! I guess the sand helped give them plenty of stability , either way, it worked a treat! | |

| The way you handle a cameras and your incredible feel for the dynamic angle and composition of a shot could see you as a serious film director anyday! You do have a real talent for this sort of thing. |

| That is intense! Like, seriously intense!
The eye for detail you have in kitting out all your figures is amazing, not to mention constructing all the sets and props! Barbed wire barrier in 1:6 scale... that's wild!
Love the bunker.
But the landing craft... that is so cool!
I can't even imagine all the hours involved in something like this. The initial hours of putting together each figure, more hours on each set piece -- the buildings, the barriers, the landing craft -- and then the hours spend setting everything up, snapping photos, moving things, snapping more photos, and then, I'm sure, additional hours of tediously combing through hundreds or thousands of photos to select the couple of dozen that tell the story you had visualized.
As mentioned before, there are many parallels with directing a motion picture in your photo-stories. A big difference is that you are a production crew of one, unlike the hundreds of people who work on a film.
Amazing work. _________________ ... DAVE

Amazing work. Thanks Dave I have just replied to you on one of my other threads, about the photos set up , etc, it does take a long time building the sets , and setting up, but I seem to get through the rest quite quickly , set up , photograph, then move the guys , set up photograph, And so on .... my main pleasure is making and photographing them , I don’t keep any of the scenery or boats , trucks , I burn it all when I’m finished playing and start on something new... as you said, sorting through the hundreds of photos is the bit I dislike...
