Found this yesterday

James Groman's entry for the Federator Studios GI Joe theme "Throwback Thursday" comp, unfortunately its not a full comic but loved the cover art - NOW MAKE THE COMIC JAMES!!!!

These images will fit in better here, Personally I think they would make great framed pictures

No mate, I found the images on the net . I can draw, but nowhere near that good !

These are fantastic i would love to see more of this sort of thing maybe a complete comic as Dal has already said

On the subject of art work...and especially Gi-Joe/ Action man box art work, here are some wonderful old photos of the guys who modelled for the Hasbro artists all those years ago, and who became the well known box art for our uniform side cards.
Although they were originally designed for Gi Joe, a few did make their way across the Atlantic to be used by Palitoy for the Action man box art.
It's strange to note that the bloke in the "sea rescue" pic, drowned in a boating accident shortly after the painting was completed.

Apologies if this has been posted before, i did a quick search and couldn't find anything on it.

Those posing for box art images are also in the G.I.JOE book that comes with a Masterpiece Joe, are these from that book? I can't reach mine at the moment

Yes, that is where i got them from...and lovely little books they were too.
I never bought any of the figures, but simply couldn't resist the book loose....the front covers were so nicely done.

Some great comic art Dal I love this stuff and great posts from Neil very good to see images of the original real people who where used for the cover art on the boxes
