| Hi All, I've been off the forum for a while, due to life... Now I'm back and wonder if anyone has info on the World Peacekeepers line of 12" figures, please? I have only been able to get info from a couple of reviews, but there seems to be a few interesting items in the collection. Now I've run out of affordable Action Man items to buy, I've been looking around for alternatives... At around £20 a figure this looks like a good deal. Please tell me I'm right! (I did search the forum, but can't find anything re. this). | |

I do not know a great deal about the peace keepers line of figures, but they do look good .I know they turn up on ebay, maybe ackie88 or clivvers could help point you in the right direction? I think chad valley are the UK version, which i believe Rogue Trooper may be able to help you? he might even have some figures for sale?

| The World Peacekeepers line is a great one, in terms of good play ability for not much money. They are usually referred to as Power Team or Power Team Elite over here; and Chad Valley over there. The figures are quite pose able and some of the head sculpts are on par with DML and BBi. The uniforms are good; the equipment runs the gamut. I have several; and tend to kitbash them; usually as WWII figs. WWII staff officers: WWII Airborne officers: 18th century Colonial officer (hands are DML): Vietnam War grenadier (hands are DML): Rhodesian Bush War. Both are Power Team, the fig on left has a DiD head: Sense of scale: From left to right, BBi, Sideshow and Power Team: -Nate | |

| The World peacekeepers figures are very high quality with plenty of articulation, nice figures Nate, the uniforms look great.. I have a sprinkling of the figures, including a very early issued MAM type one that hasn't seen the light of day for about 7 years. I found a carrier bag stuffed with World Peacekeepers at a booty years ago. There's a supplier (a clivvers close guarded secret) that imports the figures into the UK, it's my main first port of call when buying imported figures that are not in any high street shop Sainsburys and Argos own the Chad Valley brand in the UK I think. _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| I think this figure below is one of the very early World Peacekeepers, it has B&C stamped on it's back, I found this one at a boot sale back in 2010, I think it was 50p: Sorry for the slightly out of focus photo: And this figure below I think is one of the World Peackeepers, or a Bluebox figure??? I can't find any markings.. I have absolutely no idea how it came into my possession? _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| Thanks for all the info guys, now I know what I'm likely to get quality wise, I've ordered four to start the ball rolling! Just want to find a collector's list of what's out there and I'll be poor for the rest of my life! :-) | |

| I've now bought 5 of these guys and am amazed at the quality for the price! Heads are nicely done and the basic uniforms are material, not moulded on and mostly nicely made. The accessories range from the great to the not so great, but are on a par with the later Action Man stuff at the very least. I've even managed to get hold of a complete list of curently available items, including vehicles, playsets, etc. and I've a mind to seek them out! The only thing I don't really like is the colour of the brown boots, but they do match well with photos of the real uniforms, so that's just me... I've paid between £14.99 and £18.99 INCLUDING POSTAGE for each of mine, which is insane! Great for kitbashers, although they are a bit taller and more well muscled than a vintage action man. More as I get more... | |

| I know this is going back a couple months, but I'm a big fan of the PTE line. Articulation is extremely good, even with the earlier "Big hand" versions. The number of head sculpts over the entire history is huge and the ethnic diversity seems to cover most bases. There are also multiple sculpts of the various race/nationalities. Several figures come with bare hands, instead of gloves. The forearm has plent of meat to modify for other brands of hand or glove. They are true 12" figures, which makes them taller than many Action Man/ Joe figures. They also have a thinner waistline, some times I cannot fit PTE uniforms on AM/Joe. Gear is decent, about what we get with Hasbro guy, but plentiful. Interesting items show up from time to time such as the jackhammer in the engineer set. Here in the states we see them around November and they are generally gone by year's end. I am always happy to send/post pictures of the figures available here, in case the selection is different. I have quite a few and I'm always interested in sculpts I don't have. Feel free to PM me with any that might be available. |

The Power Team figures are defintely taller than Joe/VAM. They are nearly as tall as Sideshow figures. In fact, two of my sideshow figures wear Power team jeans. You can see how Sideshow bond towers over a VAM: My R. Lee Ermey Red Sox fan wears power team jeans and sneakers. The DML Naval Officer shows how tall he is. -Nate
