Hello... I am starting some new photos of my small collection and took this of my childhood British Infantryman uniform set. I am pretty sure I bought it as a uniform card rather than a complete set, so I never got the lace up boots or much else for that matter... this set came together over the years, little by little, starting in the early 70s.

But, there is something unique, or at least pretty rare, from what I have seen so far, can you spot it?

SKJ spotted it straight away, can you?

Chip... you are a man that is super observant! I have owned this uniform since 1970-ish and of course knew that it had buttons, but had never realised that there was anything unusual in that, until I started looking at other British Infantryman sets in recent months! They look like a version of the buttons from the Russian tunic too!

Anyone else got a British tunic that came with buttons originally?

Lovely figure. I must agree, the buttons set off the tunic very well indeed.

Mine is just bog standard issue.

It's a figure I've been rebuilding and getting bits for for a long time.

Got a gas mask for him FINALLY in a recent job-lot.
Those kind of things are so pricey now on their own in good condition.

I need puttees (which I'll make) and the correct water canteen to finish.
