Christmas Eve in the ATSAR ready room.
An Adventure Team Christmas
T'was the night before Christmas, at AT HQ,
The world was peaceful, there was little to do.
The Commander was reading a book (it was big)
While Jane was busy, cleaning her SIG.
A big tree and trimmings adorned the ready room
When they suddenly heard a loud sonic boom.
And from out in the hangar there arose such a clatter
They ran to the door to see what was the matter.
And what to their wide open eyes should appear
But a sleek black sleigh, pulled by penquins, not reindeer.
The driver wore black from his horns to his feet,
And they looked on in dread as he climbed from his seat.
"Who are you?" asked the Commander, and was taken aback
As a rocket-like thing the stranger pulled from his pack.
His eyes how they glowed, each red as a cherry
When he chuckled, the sound was frightful, not merry.
"I'm not much for publicity", he said, flashing his claws.
"I'm Santa's less-than-jolly twin, Anti Claus.
I come from the South Pole", he said with a smirk,
"And I wait until Santa has finished his work,
Then I go to the houses of good little girls and boys
And I sneak down their chimney's and steal all their toys.
I give them to naughty children and then,
I go home until next year when I'll do it again."
Then he hefted the rocket-like thing to his shoulder,
And the truth slowly dawned, as the Commander grew bolder.
And eyeing the rocket, he gasped with a frown
"You're going to try to shoot Santa down!"
With a sly, evil grin, old Anti took aim,
As Santa, and sleigh, and reindeer they came.
The Commander, like lightning, used his Kung Fu grip,
And broke Anti Claus' rocket in two like a stick.
They cuffed him and got him secure in a cell,
When from outside came a sound they knew very well.
They both ran out, and in the moonlight were standing
As Santa Claus' sleigh turned short final for landing.
On the ramp he hopped out, with presents for all,
And they told him the tale of his twin brother's downfall.
"He was always a bad egg," said Santa, turning away
"But thanks to the Adventure Team, for saving the day."
And they heard him exclaim, as he flew out of sight,
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."
