| MOUNTAIN EXPLORER This 1st issue Mountain Explorer has caused some debate there was several versions with moleskin trousers and a rare brown anorak as well as the green anorak and later orange. 1st issue which everyone agrees on (lol) consists of White Helmet Green Goggles (White Rim) Green Anorak Green Jumper Brown Cords Green Socks Brown Boots Blue Ruck sack Ice Hammer Ice Pick Crampons Pitons Karbiners Rope Suckers Also issued was the extremely delicate hence extremely rare High Altitude Equipment. Technically should be a painted head figure but he looks great with a bearded figure too | |

| FOOTBALLER There were a few Sportsman figures issued between these years and they consisted of a 1st issue footballer the very same outfit style used later in the 70's except the 1st issue was much thinner and had little elasticity therefore went out of shape after being stretched which subsenquently led to them being disgarded in favour of the later more durable issues. These also saw for the first time the Green Stands at this point with no astro turf. | |

| CRICKETER Another sportsman issued with a Green Stand Outfit is Extremely Rare not just because of the Whites being clean after all these years or the Jumper being free of catches but because of the little pieces that came with it. Blue Cap and Badge White Shirt White trousers White Socks White Shoes Sweater Pads Bat Ball Stumps Bails | |

| JUDO A few say this was not issued untill 1970 but i think its safe to say that it has been proved that this outfit was available in 1969 and what a rare suit this is too or is it ?? I must admit i find this suit more expensive than rare as its often available on the internet and collectors circles but seldom under £200 so rare or expensive ill leave that decision to you. | There were two other Uniforms released between this time but i have ommitted them as they were issued later in the ranges too and have subtle differences and i will point them out to you as we come across them. The issues ommitted are the Spaceman Talking Commander Also i have ended this particular thread on the SOLDIERS OF THE CENTURY RANGE. These came about after the popular US release that was called SOLDIERS OF THE WORLD These uniforms were accompanied by the foreign faced head sculpt figures issued in Blonde,Brown,Black and Ginger (Red) these were never produced in the UK but all the uniforms bar one was produced and in my opinion it was one of the best uniforms and figures that was issued in the GI Joe Range so as my way of a tribute i give you the Japanese Imperial Soldier Helmet Jacket Trousers Boots (Brown) Back Pack Belt Cartridges (Brown) Holster (brown) Japanese Gun Rifle Bayonet Order of Kite Medal | |
