Oh, man! This post takes me back! I'm starting to tear up a bit.
When I was a little kid, my grandparents had a farm in the country. As people from that generation tended to do, they kept everything. One of the things they kept was an old Sears & Roebuck toy catalog... one with the "good through August 1967" black & white images pictured here. I spent hours and hours, over the course of many years, paging through that toy catalog, looking at the "old" (even then) GI Joe images! These exact images!
For a moment, here, I was seven years old again just now, seeing these images that were old even then, and the cares of the world disappeared for a few brief, wonderful moments.
