Captain's Bars for Shepard

Well, after digging, The representation of "Captain" in terms of uniform adornation is different between the U.S. and the U.K. :eek: Shocker.

The rank included in the Talking Commander of 1968 is a set of US Captain's Bars.

At any rate, I haven't had any of the rank and insignia for Shepard since I got him.



Then I remembered I have a vintage GI Joe Dress Pilot Jacket that I bought with Captain's Bars on it.





No flight wings, so the bars are on their own. Time to be re-assigned.



After some bending, flattening, stabbing, and fitting, Captain Shepard is truly "Captain" Shepard.

I know the common placement is on the shoulders, but I put them on the collar for two reasons. 1: front and center. 2: When I get all the stuff for Cliff 2.0's Promotion, the Lieutenant Bars will end up going on a collar, and I wanted the two to be cohesive.

They look great!

...all the more reason to stick with your own collar placement convention!
