Hi, guys, I hope I am posting it in the right place. haha Well, I decided to start my own AM line, mostly focused on the military line. I am also doing some kitbashed. My main question now is the first Commander.

http://www.actionmanhq.co.uk/figures/talking-commander-1969/index.html

This figure is so cool. I would like to know about his shirt/pants. On that site, they claim the Commander was based on the action soldier and used his shirt/pants, but... I dont know if my eyes are tricking me, but his collors looks a little mudded than the greeinsh we see on the soldier. Is that correct? If that is NOT the case, a green shirt and pants from the soldier would be enough to replicate the Commander?

Thanks!

There is always some colour variation but olive green is the usual volour, sometimes lighter, sometimes darker. With the metal two bars on shoulder distinguishing it from regular fatigues plus medal stickers. clown

Ah, variations... that explains why some photos shows a darker outfit than others. Thanks, stack. I managed to get some replacement for the shoulders too. I was curious because on that site they also say that although palitoys oriented peopleto place them on the shoulders, some claims the collar would be the right place and that actually makes a lot of sense to me, but I am not used to how british army and military usually display ranks. What you think?

The bars for this set are US Captain's Bars, the British ranking system used a different type of decoration to denote rank.

Either way is correct depending on the type of uniform it's going on. Battle Dress? Probably shoulders. Ceremonial? Probably the lapels/collar.

This green uni would be the former.

So the commander uses a green uniform wich is basically cerimonial then bars should go on collar. But at least for me his overall look is very battle-ready, the field commander (he is even carrying a gun), so the uni should have been tan(?) and anyway the bars go to shoulders.
