Hello everyone. I have been asked by my other half (blondeactionman/Dal) to post my doll collection. I do not own any Action Man figures, but I am well acquainted with them as Dal has quite a lot of them . I mainly collect Barbie, as well as other dolls. I hope you like my collection. I will post some now and more at a later date, if there is any interest?

It's nice to see a different collection no matter what it is and your Barbie one is very interesting I like the fact that they do a lot of franchise versions and appeal to both collectors and film fans alike Thanks for sharing As others have said don't know how you have room for two collectors in the family

You have certainly gone for the most iconic and spectacular versions, and you now have a beautiful collection. Thanks for sharing! What are your thoughts on BAM's phicens as compared to Barbie?

What an interesting and entertaining glimpse into a diverse collection! Barbie is certainly reflective of her era... or eras! It is almost possible to date within a few years many of the releases simply by the topics represented.
The "Spain" international version is truly gorgeous!
And I love the Star Trek uniforms... although I must say, Barbie looks the part far more than does Ken.
I hope you find the time and the inclination to post additional images of your collection.
(I also appreciate LeStryge bumping some of these interesting older topics that I have not previously seen.)

I'm exploring the site, and really enjoying some of the older posts, but deeply disappointed that so may of the precious pics have now gone due to photobucket's demise.

Thank you Jet. The variations of barbie is vast, but it does allow me to pick and choose what I want to collect. Having said that, there are a lot more available now than I was a kid.

Thank you, Hmm, the phicens? I see them everyday and I must admit they are extremely well made and surprisingly heavy? but they are just not for me.

Yes, I like the Spain one too. Dal picked it her up for me a few years back in a shop he found while we where on holiday and the Star Trek set, he got for me when I was nineteen! where does the time go?? I do have more to post, but as I am not much of a photographer, I have to get Dal to do them for me, so hopefully more will appear soon.

I have to agree here with SCU_HQ. The figures, costumes and hairstyles so encapsulate a time that you can immediately pick the years represented. Leaving them in the boxes certainly enhances this. They look just like fashion magazine covers, surrounded by the accompanying package art.
Okay, confession time. We've all 'fessed up here on AMMO. How many Barbies do you have, and just what is it that decides the ones you buy? Are you ever tempted to "rescue" any of those pre-owned, now neglected ones found in charity shops and do a restoration or kitbash of your own like the rest of us here?
