my latest project - 1/6 scale room

Great idea for a project Dal, that will keep you busy mate!!!

Over the last few days I have cracked on with my 1/6 room, first a spot of wallpapering





The cladding was put in place just to see what it looked like

Next job was finding a colour to use for the room. I decided it is going to be a study, rather than try and directly copy Krakajac's excellent Sherlock Holmes room. Many thanks to ackie, steve Richard, taffy and Ade for lots of inspiration on this project

So a spot of painting,



After a trip to my local wood yard, I picked up some really nice's pieces of wood for the room. I also brought some indoor cladding which I used for the floor.



Using the cladding I have also used it to make panels for the lower wall, and using some wooden beading I have made skirting boards.





Still no where near finished and loads to do, but thanks for looking guys

Ok here is a little more, I had to wait for the glue to dry !! , I have made the door frames, as the doors will be static, I am working on the doors at the moment.

Hey guys, managed to make a little time this afternoon to fit in a little more on the room. I added a high ceiling picture rail. I also finished off the mid way trim around the top of the tongue and groove.

I found some long picture frames, which I think work great for windows. I added a picture of a night time street scene to give the impression of a view, you may have noticed that the picture starts half way down the window, This is because I am planning on adding blinds.

I also had to abandon my idea of a paneled door made out of hard word and went for a plain wood instead. I then stained the door using a games workshop stain to make the door darker.
