Camping Photos

Hello got loads of photos to upload from my camping weekend for those of you who don't know I'm a Transman and this camp was for other Transmen and their close friends/family from T-Boys who is a group for Trans people in Yorkshire and Morf for Transmen in Manchester there were also Transmen from Liverpool and from Scotland. The campsite was in a village called Ravenstonedale in the Howgill Fells between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, we got the train over from Shefifeld to Kirkby Stephen which is a few miles away.

This is one side of the campsite



This is the T-Boys corner of the campsite where I had my tent, one or two of the guys are a bit shy and not to keen on socialising so we followed them over and pitched our tents right at the far corner of the field it felt like miles away from everyone elses tents and from the caravan with the toilets in them

It was really great in the evenings we had a good bonfire going, I dried my boots off by the fire and I learnt form the first night when we had sunshine and downpours throughout the day and evening and when it started raining on the 2nd day I dashed back to my tent with my boots after all there aint no point in ruining the drying effect of the fire with the soaking effect of the rain



We enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the fire a first for me and they even had vegetarian marshmallows we thought they were very tasty 

great shots Scott !! I do not blame him for having a sit down on his way back from the pub

Love the photos -- I have never been to the UK but we are planning a trip there next year

Scott looking through these photos it looks like you and mini Scott had a real fun and walking time camping outside the village called Ravenstonedale. It sure dose look like miles away from everyone elses tents looking at the photos you have taken. You can definitely see your dark blue tent very well pointed out by Scott. I see by the inside of the tent photo that Scott has all the necessary things he need for sleeping in a tent. I really like most of your shots with Buttercups in them, infected the first photo of Scott standing in the campsite of Buttercups I have set as my Desktop Background . Wow that’s one hill to climb no wonder you need a break. I’m really pleased that you really had great evenings together. Nice shot of  toasting marshmallows on the fire and it was your first time  toasting marshmallows bet it was marshmallowy , I never new you could get  vegetarian marshmallows but I do now. I hope Scott sheared that vegetarian marshmallows with you and not eaten it all by himself . Looking very much forward to seeing more camping photos Scott.

Thanks mate I'm glad to hear that there's plenty of really nice places in the UK that I've visited and plenty more on top of that which I'd like to visit when I'm more independent with travelling, the weather can be a bit unpredicable but, hey I'm a hardy type used to working in all weathers and you can always find something to do I always enjoy visiting a nice gardne or doing a good walk

Thanks so much for all your comments Ackie that's a real compliment that you've put Scott's phot on your desktop I've got to admit it did come out well I'd best not tell him though otherwise the fame might go to his head . Mini Scott did have a very full kitbag plus his rucksack, he had plenty of changes of clothing which was good since his first lot got soaked on Friday (he came out to watch us making a brew with our Kelly Kettle and I hate to say it but, we were so distracted trying to get ourselves and the hot water and bag of dry wood I'd brought to shelter that I forgot about him, poor fella got soaked  so I brought him out to dry off by the bonfire later ) he had plenty of space in the tent even with me and the little men although it wasn't very warm in the tent so we snuggled up close.

The hill looked worse than it was for me doing a lot of walking I thought it was a fairly easy hill although some of the others might have disagreed would have liked to have done some longer walks but, there's always next time.    The vegetarian marshmallows were delicious and much appreciated by me and some of the other guys since a few of us including me are vegetarian, I made sure Scott didn't eat them all up as well
