Black & No1's Summer Holiday Adventure Parts 1 & 2

Inspired by Hank, Joe and Cliff's recent mission to Hastings and the Summer of '76 pics, Two of Gunners Childhood crew plan a mission....



Look at this No1 ... Gunner and Mrs M are off to Minorca...

Blimey Black , I haven,t seen the summer since ...well I don't know the infamous being buried in the mud at the battle of Little Sea in '71 !

I know mate before our trip back to Ulverston,I hadn't been out since the equally horrible Dart practice on Hoad Hill of '75"


Tell you what .. we are trained in covert ops ... fancy 10 days in the Sun? Let's get stowed in the case when they are not looking...

What ? are you sure ... I'm not sure 40 year old plastic can stand up it that heat... we are not talking the Lake District "summer" here ...and isnt it going AWOL?

Come on old timer, what the alternative - a summer on display in the downstairs Loo?

No1 & Black realise their beachside sense of style might need some work.

Dragonian Hunter Scout Drax spots Black & No1's old kit at the Munrovian Depot.



Hmm They are close ..I will soon have them in my sights.




This looks like their tracks heading to the suitcases...I must be patient and wait until they have retrieved the secret mission information. If they return with it the Munrovian's plans to re build and take back their country will receive a tremendous boost. If I can locate it, eliminate two of their national heroes Dragonia will have the upper hand . I will not fail !

Fantastic stuff Gunner! No.1 & Gunner really are a couple of characters! They look great in combat and holiday gear!. I hope that their holiday break os relaxing for them, but will they realize that Dragonian Hunter Scout Drax, is on their trail???
Looking forward to the next installment already!

I've just finished reading the story a bit of light reading in the morning, anyway I really enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures. Looking forward to part 3.

The Boys settle in

Having stowed away ... Black and N01 say hello to Mrs M


We've been on this cupboard for two days now Black ... and Mrs M has only just spotted us ! I think Gunner is safe ....



Aye aye, me old ship mate lets get these VAM bodies out is some proper sunshine. Mission Sunshine is GO !



You will have to watch out N01 , I'm not sure how 50 year old plastic heads will react to the heat !



No need to worry .. we have been forged in the furnace's of Pailtoy factories in Hong Kong remember !.. Any way you need to watch out for those stress cracks and all.. Gunner gave me a Cotswold tan body as part of my rebuild .



The Circada hummm and the boys grab some well earned rays....

I really enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures from Black & No1's Summer Holiday Adventure Part 2, just loving the beach towel talk going back and forth between the both of them, made me laugh. Oh NO danger always lurks, What will happen next ??.. Have our boys switched off too much ?, well I'll just have to wait and see won't I .

A bit more about The Dragonians. They have superior technology in that they industrialised some 50-60 years ahead of Munrovia.

They have been able to generate a significant Military Industrial complex but its resource hungry. Munrovia has a more consumer-post modern -Agrarian base . Of interest to Dragonia is the plentiful supply of Water and an unexploited Oil & Zorbite reserves (an essential ingredient for Dragonia's Advance Weapons programme)

Munrovia had a small standing army navy & Air force, but with a large reserve force . Dragonia annexed both Marxia & Coalviland. …It was inevitable Munrovia was next when the Government refused Dragonia's demands for an exclusive Water Oil Pipe line and a set of Mining rights for Zorbite.

This time however things didn't go exactly to plan- after an initial overwhelming attack one lone Army Unit( D Coy 2nd Battalion ) , on exercise in the Sandiway Mountains at the time were able to resist and secure the key access to the Zorbite mines . Now the Dragonians are desperate to get the Zorbite. Munrovia has sent out a pleas for help to Hasbro - long term allies and the famous GI JOE fighting force. But who knows if they will be able to respond in time ?

Drax closes in....

Drax, a Dragonian Clone warrior, Hunter Scout class, has tracked Black and N01 , two of the Munrovian CHO11 (Child hood Original 11) on their R&R break with Gunner and Mrs M.

I can see their tracks... they are close. I must remember that I cannot attack until they have completed their mission.



Our Hunter squads captured a high ranking Minister from the Munrovian Government fleeing our victorious Army. We know vital information and an Object of vital significance to the Munrovian people, has been lost on this island...We just don't know where yet.



I will track them down and eliminate the 'so called VAM hero's' Black & N01 . Victory shall be ours. Dragonian steel will prevail !!

Drax, moves stealthy toward the the Forward Operating Base. His advanced training and implanted radio,surveillance & targeting equipment . Tell him he is in the right location. 



He cautiously moves forward. The Training of the Dragonian MaxSteelon clone warriors is from birth. They are cloned in the Mattel Labs and then sent for training to become merciless, ruthless shock troops of the Dragonians'.





This is a good vantage point . They are not here...where can I conceal myself ?



Spotting a high vantage point where he can observe the coming and goings, Drax makes his ascent.



Hey Black did you hear anything ?

Nah mate, chillax it was probably just a bad dream...all that Sun might have messed with your paint job lol 

Now then did I ever tell you about the Parachute mission in Brikrigg quarries of '73 ... So there I was taped to rather flimsy plastic bag... 



This vantage point is perfect ... I'll be able to over hear and watch the so called CO 11"heros" lead me to the prize...




What will happen next ?....Will Black and No1 realise Drax is near ? Has the sun dulled their senses? What is the object he seeks?....

I really enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures from this part of the story . Well I really hope so that Black and No1 realise Drax is near because if they don't anything could happen to them, well yes I actually think that the sun dulled their senses , What is the object he seeks?, that's the question I'm really looking forward to finding out the most.

i feel certain the brave munrovians wiil be able to hold out until aid arrives from the hasbros or the smaller but equally fierce palitoys
