Mike Power, The ATOMIC MAN

Because of a error in communication over on HQ, Blues & Royals accidentally awarded me reputation points for picture I posted that he mistook to be mine.

I've tried my best to recreate the picture, and earn those reputation points the right way.

I loved this classic tune, i bought the 7" and extended 12" versions back in the day, it still sounds sweet after all these years

It's a nice effect @ ActionYankee.

The best way to create that effect is to use your design editing software and create three lines about 3 pixels thick, then stretch them out to what length you want them, each line being on a separate layer, then apply a transparent effect to each line and spin them round to the desired angle..

Next, drag out a solid coloured star shape and use the shape altering sliders each side of it to alter how many rays/spikes you want, add transparency and outer glow in "Add Effects" to your object, you can alter how far you want the glow to spread out from the ray shape, then place over the eye. All my graphics in my photo comics are hand designed by me, it can take ages sometimes, i keep all my work on a digital pasting board for later use down the line. The purple glint above in my images was designed by me about 4 years ago, it's really easy to do, anyone can do it, i'm still using them, but i think they need upgrading soon to stay ahead of the pack lol!

I'm just thinking this idea on the fly, but it's along these design lines. It should take about about 15 - 30 minutes to pop one out like that

Yours works well for the original Mike Power. Since I had an updated Mike Power, I needed a different one.


I took the original image into my non-linear movie editor, upped the contrast and darkened it a bit. Then I made a lens flare, and lined it all up over his Atomic Eye. Then I tinted it subtly blue, like the LED in his eye.

Took a screen shot, and edited the size in paint.

It turned out well
