Resident Evil Apocalypse CARLOS figure. Update 13th/11/15

Well as some of you chaps know like Dal big fan of the Resi Evil franchise, though I really do enjoy the films too

Well I am now tackling the Mercenaries you also saw in the same film (RE: Apocalypse).

Now after re sculpting the hair


His main weapon is the Micro Galil and alas the people to have made it are 21st Century Toys in their Ultimate Soldier line. Alas no look finding one the last few years

I found a full length one for a fiver in China and then guess mod time once arrives.

I need make pair of holsters for a pair of Desert Eagle pistols.

The trousers are the hardest part as the company TIGERSTRIPE made these and called Tactical Tiger. Alas no one has done them 1/6th scale. So trying various methods and seeing which works. Down part ruining perfectly good tigerstripe pants LOL
I am Lucky to own a few pairs of these pants as they have become somewhat Hard to find in the 1/1 world.

So will update as things start to fall into place. I have ordered enough stuff to make 2, so Carlos and possibly Yuri (one of Carlos's men) or a custom UBCS Merc.

Turned out pretty well, tomorrow the stubble LOL and re paint.

Well one of the pairs of Tiger Stripe camo pants turned out actually usable.

Need to add some Bluish/Grey colour to make them accurate but Yep overall shading is bang on.



Working on the South African Vest today as well as adding the grey to the above pants.

Now everything else...Hurry up and get here!!

The whole virgin package has been down a few hrs this evening so decided to add the grey paint to the tigerstripes.

Thanks guys. Turned out okay I think.

Currently taking vests apart to make the South African Vests (I Hate stitch work LOL) they wore in the film. Wish one of the brands actually made the SA vests be so much easier LOL
Though then again that extra mile shows the love for the custom figure i guess having to make them myself.

One of the options of the grey shirt arrived, colour looks good But will wait till the other arrives and decide then.



Also the part been dreading, the stitch work LOL

Break down done so far.

The Holsters for the desert Eagles, just need to do thigh and drop down belt loops and then these are done.


Cheated with this vest. Removed the back pouches and pulled in the sides of the Back piece. This helps give the appearance of the South African Vest the U.B.C.S. Mercs used in the film.


Last one is still a wip (needed a break from the stitching LOL). Going for an accurate SA vest here.


So Some headway made today. All being well will have the stitching all done today, then sit twiddle thumbs and wait for other pieces to arrive. Already printed The patches out LOL

Then have to work on stripping down a Galil rifle and customising it to a Micro Galil.

You are a better sewer than me, I can use power tools and saw's without a scratch, but give me a needle and its plasters at the ready! usually followed by a lot of swearing!

Aww cheers Dal. Hate the sewing part But guess sometimes we just have to bite the bullet and do it.

Plus if it was easy everyone would have the U.B.C.S. Carlos figure LOL.

I am glad I am doing a few more sets so I can customise one up my way too.

Patches done. Printed onto adhesive backed cloth (I get from craftycomputerpaper) then enhance and fix on with added fabritack glue for extra securing.

The hair turned out pretty well I think. First major HAIR sculpt for me (done beards before though).

Well main two thinks waiting on, One has arrived. Alas still waiting on the Galil rifle to remodel as a Micro Galil :/

Still the 21st TUS SWAT vests have arrived today. After some Laborious Unpicking, Carlos now has his Flak Vest.
