Another World!

Not really a kitbash this time. The figures are just as they came out of the box and not in fact mine.

This is a small bookshelf diorama I made entirely out of printed paper and cardboard for a friend to display MAM and his alien opponent.
Not sure if the decision to photograph it through a red filter was entirely successful though.
It loses much of the 3D effect.
Thinking seriously about a re-shoot.

I've had my eye on the xenome sets but the price is usually silly with import tax as well... but it looks great... the aliens are epic!

I was lucky as it was me doing the searching. I wanted the set as a gift for a very good friend. (He wanted an Action Man after admiring mine and he also loves aliens!    )

I found a man in America who had bought a lot of Action Man stuff from a deceased estate auction in the hopes that his grandkids would be interested. Turns out they weren't really taken with Action Man at all.....can you imagine that?      

Long story short he was selling the stuff on eBay and agreed to send to Australia. Boxed set, never opened and in pristine condition

There were three different aliens that came randomly in the sets. This one had the blue version with the crab-like claws. (The best one in my opinion.)
In truth all three aliens share the exact same body mould, but in different colours. Red, brown and blue. It's only the heads and forearms and hands that differ. (See below.)
That and the headsculpt of the human figure in his spacesuit. The gun actually fires a little missile too.




Decided to post another shot of the diorama WITHOUT the red filter.
(Don't know what I must have been thinking!)

Looks much better in my opinion.
