The bookcase looks even better with books and artifacts on it!
When I first saw the work in progress pics, I thought it was a full-scale bookcase you were refurbishing to display your figures in, not a miniature piece to be part of your display! Nice work!

If it's just the white edge showing that concerns you then I think just run over them lightly with the edge of a dark brown texta or pentel pen. This will make them blend in with the book covers. Otherwise the whole set is coming together very nicely Chris!

Yes I see what you mean now. Where you have used the corrugated cardboard for the bulk is showing. What if you printed a long strip of paper with very fine lines and then cut lengths of it and glued it to the top of each book? It would give the impression of the sections of a book. "Signatures" I think they are called.

You guys are getting in to the serious detail work now! Fascinating stuff! Good ideas! Looks good already, but apparently it's going to look even better!
I've given Suzi a backpack...not entirely happy with it, but it will do for now. I've also been experimenting with making leather bracelets again. This one was inspired by Morten Harket of Aha fame. Not a great picture, but its plaited.
This is Mina. She was the first female figure I ever bought. Originally she was a soldier, but Freya is wearing a lot of her gear so I put this together. A kind of agent/spy look maybe...I apologise for the pic....too much light.
