| Heh Dal, I like the fact that we still kick with the old-toy-shop-dio-flavour. Whilst there is lots to be said for ultrarealistic backdrops, there's something quintessential about a 70s shopwindow flavour... always like your work dude! | |

That is an interesting observation that I shall have to think about. While I am always berating myself for my failure to construct "realistic" backdrops and settings, each time I start a new project, I end up taking a "stylized" or "cartoonish" (or "little kid") approach. I usually attribute the end result to a lack of skill and talent, but perhaps there's a more deep-seated psychological reason that my backdrops look that way which you and SlackElastic have identified: that's the look that I subconsciously remember from my childhood, from holiday department store displays, mail order catalogs, and television commercials. And... it's the look that I like! As much as I appreciate the talent and skill that goes in to hyper-realistic miniature dioramas, your carved foam stone blocks and plastic aquarium plants with dinosaurs scampering among them is much more fun! _________________ ... I think that sums it up perfectly Dave! I too love realistic backdrops, but MiskatonicNiack layouts keeping everything toylike, was the blueprint I think using the same technique? | |

| Nice! The outfit is from the Tuskegee Airman Fighter pilot, I believe. My winter talking commander wears the trousers.
