I always wanted to dive, but never did, now I'm too old and out of condition. Thunderball was always my favorite Bond film and I got every waterfront merit badge in scouts (didn't have one for SCUBA). My brother was looking into SCUBA, but they said he'd need a custom wet suit. Plus, he's getting older too.
Not as cool as your coral mount, but here's mine:
There is a diver here that posts. He's also into Steampunk and has a cool custom R/C Sea Wolf that he's taken on dives. He has posted videos here.
His threads and YouTube vids are still up: RedDog1/Stef:

Your bloke's pants still look OK. He's a great figure with really good accessories. "Thunderball" is still my favourite Bond and Bond film.
Very cool footage of the dive, ....however there's two things I really hate about diving.
Number ONE: Night Dives! Had to do one to get certificated but REALLY avoid them now. I hate the feeling that everything can see you but you can't see them!
Number Two: Murky, cold, unclear water. Diving in the Pacific Islands really spoils you! I love to see things. Oh and you can add kelp forests. Hate the creepy feel of that damn stuff on your skin.
Don't worry about being old or out of condition. There are places where you can still get a really great underwater experience. I took my Mum to a Pacific island where she could put on a face-mask and wade into water little more than knee deep and still see a fabulous selection of fish and coral just by putting her face in the water while standing up! Have to add she was 92 years old at the time and previously terrified of the water. (And sharks!) Very hesitant at first but after a while she absolutely loved it. By the end of the week she was actually immersing her body and flippering around, just on the surface of course, but excitedly telling us all the different fish she had identified. She saw a sea turtle one time and you would have thought she'd won the lottery! Now I think she's "hooked" and tells anyone who will listen some great bar stories of her sightings! SO.....never too old, ...eh?

It would now make a perfect prop washed up on a beach in a "missing man" scenario?

Would the arms be long enough to get away with shortening them both just that little bit? I'm thinking there aren't going to be too many of them around that are in good condition? Or maybe just give your diver a large diving watch/depth gauge on his wrist or some device to cover the hole?
NOTE: Correction. I told my Mum about posting her snorkelling experience here and she fiercely insisted that she was only 91 at the time. NOT 92!!!! Who am I to argue with a lady over her age, ...much less my own Mum. So with regards to my post above can we all just agree that she was only 91 ? World Peace has rested on less!

I asked the guy about arm length and he said, there would be a decent sized gap between hand and arm... He suggested I roll both sleeves up...lol...I'm not crazy about that...lol
91 years old! WOW! Awesome!

I got to thinking about what you said about the scuba suit with chunk taken out of sleeve.. I went ahead and ordered it because I'll probably never find another in that shape like you said...I'll figure out something with the chunk...Maybe put a wrist watch on him or something...lol
Maybe a knife to hide chunk? Hes wearing a Lycra suit which I do not like...lol,,Does not give me that childhood vintage vibe I crave..
A watch???

Interesting technique your diver has for warming up after a chilly dive: stand on the cooktop!
The yellow dive watch is a great little accessory!
Love the silvery ripples and reflection in the water.

The ripped/degraded wetsuit on the skeletal form is just perfect!
Your other bloke in the lycra wetsuit already has a knife in the required position.
I'm sure you'll be able to disguise the sleeve damage. It's not all that extensive and if the wetsuit itself is still in good condition, it's a "find".

Great pics, Jim!!!
I'm glad you decided to get that other suit. I don't think the missing chunk looks too bad and the rest of it looks perfect. I think it'll look great, just a little wear and tear. And, like James Bond might say, "things get rough in the field...or stream..."
The old suit looks great on the skeleton!!!

I'd say that's a very nice pick up Inntruderr. It's a missing chunk that has been very uniformly cut or cleaned up. Were I you, I'd be looking at transplanting a decent, similar half- moon shaped rubber piece from your wrecked suit onto that somehow. It won't look perfect, but I bet you'd get it reasonable enough.
