Overdid the exercise yesterday, so today no slab laying, no shed building, no hill walking or Bike riding, just a bit of Vam time!
First a trip to the loft to drag some boxes down
Most of the complete figures were ones my lads played with, all need some work all need restringing
Don’t know why but I always get excited when I find soft original grippers, shame their not a pair.

Not sure about the Jake head, it’s not Vam so may get switched out at some time unless he grows on me!

Cheers Alex. I needed a day off!
Next up is this 50th that I reset for a long term play test. It’s stood up to normal play well, obviously it went down the restring and pelvic remoulding and had a nice characteristic Vam Head installed. It’s lasted well and today in the heat the hands are working well.
I like him

Well, if the boys had been at school? No, I shouldn’t say that!

Next up was this oddity;
About 18 years ago at a guess. BBi arms in case you were wondering. I didn’t have the spares I have now and was looking at building up the troop numbers (In my defence!). Let’s just pop him in a uniform for now........
That’s it for today The good news though is this Spares lot now live in one of the small sheds for easy access.

Those BBI arms make great replacements, I used them for Jake a while back now, tho I did have to trim a little off the end of the arms to get them to look right. great work Bri!

Climbing up to the loft to haul down boxes sounds like a bit of a workout in itself!
But... what a treasure trove of Action Man goodness! All manner of fine bits and pieces in there! Good to see some complete figs rising up out of the body part chaos!
They're nicely uniformed, too! Ready for action!
The pool adventures look like fun as well!

Wow , That blond bearded certainly is very characteristic - It's amazing how different they can look sometimes.

Your dead right and that’s Exactly what’s missing/lacking from the Cotswold Jake head! I will be swopping that one out when I find a suitable replacement

Yes it was like an oven up there. I was trying to get to my boxed Gi joes (40th) but nearly drowned in sweat. I’ll make it to them another day.

I would say you earned your 1/6th play time after all the work you put into building that shed. Lugging around those slabs looked like pretty hard work to me. Are you going to share some pics of it with us?
And what could be better after a visit to the sauna of your attic loft than a dip in the pool with some VAM/MAM figures and your kids.

Two small sheds! Landscaping far from finished.
Then in the opposite corner
The main shed is going here, I’ve pulled one 6 x 8 shed down but the blue Wendy house needs to go next then I have a big space, still not sure what I’ll be building there
Still plenty of pain to come with the new path

Yes those 3ft x 2ft slabs are over 2 inches thick! Needs two of you to move them

Another lazy day here, too hot to do much.
I’ve stripped out one of my pilot 50th/kiddie purchases from home bargains. The dog tags are quite decent Never been a fan of this style of boots
So tried the pilot boots Quite like the effect, reminds me of hobnails.

I’ve had a go at modifying the excellent pilot head for a Vam neck post
I wasn’t looking for the giraffe effect, I guess it’s going to need a big chunk of neck removing. I’ll wait till it’s not so hot and I have a steady hand.
Has anyone else successfully altered one? Maybe I should cut the neck post down a bit instead?

It needs cuttling just under the chin. You will also need to remove some of the thickness from inside the neck.
