| I will figure out how you did this!
Nice poses! Do you have a background in ballet, or did you research images and try to emulate them using the figure?
Seems like an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the possibilities of the Phicen seamless figures and to get in a lot of practice working with them.
Also, photographing a white dress in front of a white backdrop while keeping everything properly exposed without "blown out" highlights is an impressive lighting achievement.
I'll have to study these pics on a number of levels. _________________ ... DAVE

| Thanks guys. Not sure why I didn't respond before... Dal's comment triggered a notification, so when I looked, I saw some unanswered questions from Dave... So, Dave/@SCU_HQ, not sure what it is you are trying to figure out. Perhaps how the Phicen was able to keep the pose and me take the picture? Do I tell you the secret? Well, it isn't really a secret. I used a flexible stand. I know, I know, you can't see the stand. Right. So let me tell you another little secret. I took a picture of the carpet and background without anything in front of it for a reference picture. So when I put the figure in place with the stand, I could use the reference picture as the main image background, and then just paint that back in where the stand was. Making the stand disappear, and the model appear to be doing all the posing nicely. Did I give away too much? No, I don't have a background in Ballet... Martial Arts, not ballet... I just found some ballet pictures, and posed the Phicen into those poses. Nothing too clever I am afraid. I do need to do more Ballet/Dance posing. It was quite fun. As for Photographing a white dress with a white backdrop. Yeah, center spot reading on the camera helps there. Plus some lightroom/photoshop adjustments on exposure, white balance, highlights, shadows, etc... I was also using a Lighting cube. It gives off even lighting all around. So helps with the exposure. It is quite large, as it can fit a Phicen. It is also the one I use for the Spy Camp Training Room... Here's the link so you can see what I am talking about. | Just stumbled across this. Great work Colin, though you might want to guard your secrets much as a magician does to preserve the illusion. I'll admit I was looking closely at the photos wondering how you did it, but now I've seen behind the curtain... ;-) _________________ " I have seen the Future.... and it is 'Seamless' "

| The “how I do things”, Roy, I am always happy to share, because if I can encourage someone to do something similar or better, then that’s great. If someone is interested to know how I’ve done something, I prefer to share rather than keep secrets. It is just that sometimes people have shown me how to do something, so it just feels only fair to show others too.
But thanks for your nice comments.

| Always nice to share tips, but sometimes, like in Burlesque, I think it's fun to leave a little mystery. ;-) Would we enjoy Penn and Teller as much if they were to do an illusion, then say, "Ok, this is how we did it." ? Nice of you to share. ;-) _________________ " I have seen the Future.... and it is 'Seamless' "
