Glad you read them, TRF! Kind of a lot of text, I know. We tried to work in some action, though! Could use more explosions, I suppose. Maybe next time.

Not really the way I had planned on doing it, but it works.

You need to paint British insignia on your Warhawk! Oh, wait, that one crashed just now!

Unfortunately, I have not bought the aircraft textures set for the P40 and they are not on sale at the moment. Even so, the Desert Air Force texture for the P40 has American and not British markings, though the DAF had both British and American Squadrons, and both countries used the P40.
A little known fact is that the P40, though not a good high altitude performer owing to the lack of a two stage, two speed supercharge, was nonetheless a very effective fighter at lower altitudes. It could out turn a P38, and the P38 could out turn the Me-109. Below 10,000 feet and 250mph, it outperformed the vaunted P51 Mustang in just about every area you can think of. It could out dive it, out clime it, out accelerate it, roll faster and out turn it. Most of the air combat in North Africa was below 20,000 ft where the plane performed poorly, so in that theater, it gave as good as it got.
Interestingly, in the China-Burma-India (CBI theater) where most of the combat as also below 20,000 feet, most American pilots preferred the P40 over the Mustang. The Mustang it must be noted, was exceptional for it's long range, high altitude performance, and it's top speed. Against this, it's high pitch rate required a light hand on the controls, could be stalled easily, and was treacherous to land if too much fuel was left in the tanks. It was not an especially good dog fighting aircraft and like most American fighter planes was better employed as an energy fighter to make high speed slashing attack at the enemy than engage in turning dog fights.

Excellent action scenes, and I especially like the sound effects! Straight out of the pages of 1960s and 1970s comic books!
Superb compositing of the "Laura" fig with the aircraft cockpit. She's quite expressive, there, too, with the changes in position.
Nice match of the angle of the light. (My first attempt was less effective in that regard.)
Have you swapped out Laura's goggles from what she was wearing in the office scene with Commander Takahara?

After the turn of the century In the clear blue skies over Germany Came a roar and a thunder men have never heard Like the scream and the sound of a big war bird
Eins, zwei, drei, vier ....
Up in the sky, a man in a plane Baron von Richthofen was his name Eighty men tried and eighty men died Now they're buried together on the countryside
