| Hi folks I picked up this guy for a couple of quid in a recent charity shop trawl. I was intrigued by his head sculpt , which is almost an exact copy of a GI joe ? there are no manufacturers markings . I scrabbled around in my spares and repairs body box and found this guy who could be his body cousin? The screw system of body assembly/friction for posing is very 'loosely goosey' even after a few turns with the screw driver. I'll use the heads to go with my other KO. If I remember rightly Dal did KO crew some years back ? One of my many projects is to get them on decent bodies and have a KO crew similar to that. I'll use the arms as temporary ones for my VAM 64 bodies re string project. The hands are too hard for decent grip/posing .The legs are basically useless but I think I'll be able to use the feet for some muscle body EEBP restrings . Any other ideas for these guys ? ( apart from the bin ) | |

| The Knock off- GI Joe Classic head sculpt looks like it could be a villain but that’s just my thinking . Great pick up for a couple of quid in a recent charity shop trawl Gunner . _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.

| The first figure looks to have a Joe Classic Collection head on a knock-off body. From the front the body looks CC, but the back shows it isn't. I've never seen a CC body with screw holes in the back.
The second body looks to be a knock-off head, and if the body is the same with the screw holes then it's probably also knock-off.
As far as the heads (left to right): 1: I have no idea. 2: Looks like a Tommy Gunn head. 3: I have had one of those heads for about 30 years. I would love to know where it's from. I bought a vintage Joe body from a local flea market and it had that head. I have since found a vintage head for that body, but I've always wondered what it's from. 4: I've seen photos online of knock-off Joes, as I recall that head is from a cheap blow-molded body, I'm just not remembering what name it went under.
I realize that as far as the loose heads go, I'm not much help. But I would really like to know where head number three came from!

| I too think that someone has already been playing Frankenstein with your recent find. I have that exact headsculpt several times over on original MAMs. I do like that ginger-haired bloke with the flat-top hairdo though! |

| Thanks for your interest and comments folks. Yes looks like the head might be a original Joe on a K/O body Dal the link to the bodies is great . I might go for these or re utilise the Cotswold bodies I have . Oh decisions, decisions | |

| I had the exact same fig several years ago. Mine was wearing a scuba suit for one of the Caribbean resorts. It might be that the same company that made the figs for Hasbro sold versions to other clients; kind of like those KO barbies you see at airports dressed as pilots/flight attendants or museums as archaeologists. Nice pickup either way!

| Looks like one of those KOs that were around in huge numbers about 2000 - I think the brand was "Combat King", There were also some accessory packs, with weapons moulded in some VERY soft vinyl,
As for the heads - l to r Combat King, Mintex (60s KO), Early Mintex, and the last one has me stumped! | |
