I haven’t gotten one of the new range of action man figures, but it appears that they use Power Team (aka Chad Valley) bodies. I’m not sure if they modified them at all, so there is that caveat. Here are a few pictures to show how the Power Team figures compare to more traditional sized 1/6 figures.
Here is an airborne group with left to right, a Cotswold 101st airborne soldier, Power Team Glider Pilot and VAM Para:
Here is my Power Team general standing next to a Cotswold USAAF Captain:
